Սոչիի քաղաքապետարանի մամուլի ծառայությունում հայտնել են, որ արտակարգ ծառայությունները չեն ստացել ջրհեղեղի մասին ահազանգեր, սակայն հատուկ խմբերը շարունակում են առանց դադարի աշխատել պոտենցիալ վտանգավոր տեղանքներում:

Նախորդ գիշերվա ընթացքում Սոչիում տեղացել են մինչեւ 70 մմ տեղումներ. հանգստավայրի տարածքում դեռեւս փոթորկի մասին նախազգուշացում է վատ եղանակային պայմանների հետ կապված: Գետերում ջրի մակարդակի կտրուկ բարձրացման հավանականությունը շարունակում է պահպանվել:

Փրկարարները խնդրում են զերծ մնալ ջրային եւ լեռնային տարածքներում հանգստանալուց եւ ձեռնարկել անվտանգության բոլոր անհրաժեշտ միջոցները:

Սոչիում փոթորկի մասին նախազգուշացումը հայտարարվել է օգոստոսի 16-19-ն ընկած ժամանակահատվածի կտրվածքով: Օդերեւութաբանները նախազգուշացրել են քամու ուժգնացման, հորդառատ անձրեւների, ամպրոպի եւ ծովում պտտահողմի ձեւավորման բարձր հավանականության մասին: Ըստ կանխատեսումների՝ տարերքը հիմնականում վտանգավոր կլինի Լազարեւսկի շրջանում:
