Դուք հավանաբար լսել եք, որ ավագ երեխաները հիմնականում ավելի պատասխանատու և ինքնուրույն են, մինչդեռ միակ երեխաները հակված են եսասիրության և եսակենտրոնության: Արդյո՞ք սրանք պարզապես կարծրատիպեր են, թե՞ երեխաների ծնվելու հերթականությունն իրոք ազդում է նրա բնավորության վրա:

Ծնվելու հերթականության թեորիան ծագել է դեռևս 1920-ականներին: Այն առաջ է քաշել Ալֆրեդ Ադլերը՝ Զիգմունդ Ֆրեյդի ընկերն ու կոլեգան: Ադլերը հավատացած էր, որ այն հերթականությունը, որով երեխան ծնվում է ընտանիքում, անքակտելիորեն ազդում է նրա մարդ տեսակի ձևավորման վրա:

1. Ավագ երեխա. Համաձայն Ադլերի՝ ավագ երեխան հակված է լինել պահպանողական, իշխանության ձգտող և օժտված է առաջնորդի հատկանիշներով: Քանի որ նրանք մանկուց հոգ են տանում իրենց կրտսեր քույր/եղբայրների մասին, ավագ երեխաները մեծանում են ավելի հոգատար և ավելի պատրաստակամ են լինում ծնող դառնալու հարցում:

2.Միջնեկ երեխա. այս երեխաների համար ավագ եղբայր/քույրը, այսպես ասած, «տեմպ սահմանող» է: Միջնեկ երեխաները շարունակ փորձում են գերազանցել ավագներին: Նրանց զարգացումն ավելի արագ է ընթանում: Միջնեկ երեխաները հակված են ամբիցիոզ լինելուն, սակայն եսասեր չեն: Նրանք հաճախ չափից դուրս մեծ և անհասանելի նպատակներ են դնում իրենց առջև: Սա հանգեցնում է բազմաթիվ անհաջողությունների, սակայն անհաջողություններին դիմակայելը կոփում է նրանց:

3.Կրտսեր երեխա. որպես կանոն՝ կրտսեր երեխաները մանկուց չափից դուրս շատ ուշադրություն և հոգատարություն են ստանում թե՛ ծնողների և թե՛ ավագ քույրերի/եղբայրների կողմից: Այդ իսկ պատճառով նրանք պակաս փորձառու և ինքնուրույն են: Այնուամենայնիվ, նրանք հաճախ հակված են գերազանցելու իրենց ավագ քույր/եղբայրներին: Պատմությանը հայտնի են բազմաթիվ կրտսեր երեխաներ, որոնք ամենաարագ ատլետներն են, լավագույն երաժիշտները և ամենատաղանդավոր նկարիչները: Կրտսեր երեխաները շատ շփվող են և հաճախ անպատասխանատու են:

4.Միակ երեխա. չունենալով ո՛չ քույր, ո՛չ եղբայր, ում հետ կարող էր մրցակցել, միակ երեխան հաճախ մրցակցության մեջ է մտնում սեփական հոր հետ: Բամբակների մեջ մեծացած այս երեխաները նույն հոգատար և հիացական վերաբերմունք են ակնկալում նաև անծանոթներից: Եսակենտրոնությունն ու տատանողականությունը այս երեխաներին բնորոշ գծերից են: Միակ երեխաները հիմնականում դժվարություններ են ունենում հասակակիցների հետ շփման հարցում: Այս երեխաները հակված են պերֆեկցիոնիստ լինելու և ամեն գնով հասնում եմ իրենց նպատակներին: Միակ երեխաներն իրենց բնավորությամբ և տեսակով շատ նման են ավագ երեխաներին:
