Աշխարհի երկրները սկսել են պաշտպանել շնաձկներին
INTERNATIONAL NEWSԱշխարհի երկրները պայմանավորվել են պաշտպանել շնաձկների ավելի քան երկու տասնյակ տեսակ, որոնք գտնվում են անհետացման սպառնալիքի ներքո: Այդ մասին համապատասխան որոշումն ընդունվել է Վայրի բնության համաշխարհային համաժողովի հանձնաժողովում, որը հայտնի է որպես CITES, հաղորդում է AFP-ը:
Չինաստանը, Իսլանդիան, Ճապոնիան, Մալազիան եւ Նոր Զելանդիան մի շարք միջոցառումների դեմ են ներկայացել: ԱՄՆ-ը քվեարկել է մակո շնաձկան պաշտպանության դեմ:
Glas Elasmo նախագծի առաջատար գիտնական եւ շնաձկների հարցերով փորձագետ Ռիմա Ջաբադոն ասել է, որ բազմաթիվ տեսակներ, որոնք ներառված են CITES-ի առաջարկում, դասակարգվում են որպես անհետացման սպառնալիքի տակ գտնվող: Ջաբադոյի կարծիքով՝ շնաձկան տեսք ունեցող կատվաձկների թիվը կրճատվել է 80-ով: Այդ կատվաձկներն ունեն երկարավուն եռանկյունաձեւ գլուխ եւ բնակվում են Հարավ-Արեւելյան Ասիայի օվկիանոսներում, Արաբական ծովում եւ Արեւելյան Աֆրիկայում:
Մակո տեսակի շնաձկներն ամենաարագն են աշխարհում. դրանք կարող են զարգացնել մինչեւ 130 կմ/ժ արագություն: Սակայն դրանք հաճախակի հայտնվում են ձկնորսական ցանցերում, որոնք նպատակ ունեն բռնել թունա ձուկ:
Գիտնականները նախազգուշացնում են, որ, չնայած օվկիանոսների տաքացումն ու կլիմայի փոփոխությունը եւս վտանգավոր են շնաձկների համար, հենց շնաձկների լողակներից պատրաստված ապուրների պահանջարկը կարող է հանգեցնել որոշ տեսակների անհետացմանը: Pew Trust-ի գնահատմամբ՝ տարեկան 63-273 միլիոն շնաձուկ է զոհվում՝ հիմնականում հայտնվելով ասիական շուկաներում:
Շնաձկան չորացրած լողակի մեկ կիլոգրամը կարող է արժենալ մինչեւ 1000 դոլար: Շնաձկան լողակներից պատրաստված ապուրը չինական ուտեստ է, որը խորհրդանշում է հաջողությունը:
