«Արտաքին հարաբերություններում ժողովրդավարությունը չի կարող մեր նման երկրի այցեքարտը լինել: Դնում եմ մի կողմ, արդյոք այսօր Հայաստանը ժողովրդավար է թե ոչ: Դիցուք, այդպես է: Բայց հիշեք 2008 թվականի Վրաստանի եւ 2014 թվականի Ուկրաինայի օրինակները եւ տեսեք, թե ինչ վտանգավոր թեզ եք առաջ քաշում»,-նշեց նա:
ՀՀԿ փոխնախագահի համար զարմանալի է վարչապետի խոսքն այն մասին, թե ինքը դառնացած է ԼՂ կարգավորման հարցում նախորդ իշխանություններից ստացած ժառանգությունից. «Ինչո՞վ եք դառնացած: Ո՞ր ստացել եք որպես ժառանգությունը երբեւէ ամենալավ բանակցված փաթեթը: Ո՞ր ձեր ապաշնորհ քաղաքականության պատճառով բանակցային օրակարգից դուրս են մնացել Վիեննայի, Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի եւ Ժնեւի պայմանավորվածությունները: Ո՞ր համանախագահները այլեւս չեն շեշտում կարգավորման երեք սկզբունքները, այդ թվում՝ ժողովուրդների ինքնորոշման իրավունքը»:

Նա շեշտում է՝ Աբխազիայի, Հարավային Օսեթիայի եւ Մերձդնեստրի հետ զուգահեռների անցկացումը կանխելու համար մշտական աշխատանք է պետք. «Աբխազիայի, Հարավային Օսեթիայի եւ Մերձդնեստրի հետ, այո, ոմանք փորձում են զուգահեռներ անցկացնել: Ու դա կանխելու համար մշտական աշխատանք է պետք: Մենք դա արել ենք: Վերջապես կարդացեք ԵՄ-Հայաստան համաձայնագիրը ու համեմատեք ԵՄ-Վրաստան, Ուկրաինա, Մոլդովա ասոցացման համաձայնագրերի հետ ու տեսեք, թե ինչպիսի հաջողության էինք մենք հասել։ Վշտացած եմ, պարոն վարչապետ, որ նման սիրողական մակարդակով եք շարունակում ներկայացնել մեր երկիրը դրսում»:
