Ժամը 15:20-ի սահմաններում «Հարավ-կովկասյան երկաթուղի» ՓԲԸ-ից ոստիկանության Թումանյանի բաժի ահազանգ է ստացվել, որ «Հաղպատ» կայարանի մոտակայքում այծեր են ընկել գնացքի տակ:
Ոստիկանները պարզել են, որ նույն օրը, ժամը 15:10-ի սահմաններում, Լոռու մարզի բնակիչ, 30-ամյա Արամ Գ.-ին պատկանող այծերի հոտի մի մասը արածելու ժամանակ «Հաղպատ» կայարանին մերձակա «Աթոռիկ» կոչվող հանդամասից անսպասելիորեն տեղաշարժվելով, հայտնվել են «Հարավ-կովկասյան երկաթուղի» ՓԲԸ-ին պատկանող երկաթուղու 2604 կմ-ի 2-ից 3-ն ընկած պիկետում։ Հոտին բախվել է Այրումից դեպի Գյումրի ընթացող թիվ 3401 բեռատար գնացքը, ինչի հետևանքով 31 այծ սատկել է:
Փաստի առթիվ ոստիկանության Թումանյանի բաժնի հետաքննչական բաժանմունքում նյութեր են նախապատրաստվում։
