1804-ռուս-թուրքական պատերազմի ընթացքում ռուսական զորքերը դադարեցրել են Երևանի բերդի պաշարումը և վերադարձել Վրաստան:
1828- հայազգի նշանավոր գեներալ Վ. Մադաթովի 2000-անոց զորաջոկատը Շամխորի մոտ ծանր պարտության է մատնել ԱբբասՄիրզայի 10-հազարանոց զորքին:
1941 - ծնվել է հայկական և հրեական ծագումով ռուսաստանցի սպա, գրող Սերգեյ Դովլաթովը (Դովլաթյան), որը համարվում է ռուսաստանյան ամենաընթերցվող ու ամենաշատ հրատարակվող գրողներից: Նրա գործերը թարգմանվել են աշխարհի ավելի քան 30 լեզուներով:
1952- ծնվել է բանաստեղծ, թարգմանիչ Հակոբ Մովսեսը
1967- ծնվել է թուրքահայ նշանավոր տնտեսագետ Տարոն Աճեմօղլուն։
1947- ծնվել է ճանաչված ֆուտբոլիստ Լևոն Իշտոյանը։
1968- վախճանվել է աղբյուրագետ, հնագետ, բանասեր և թարգմանիչ Լեոն Մելիքսեթ-Բեկը:
1983- ծնվել է ճանաչված շախմատիստ, գրոսմայստեր Գաբրիել Սարգսյանը։
2009-Հայ հեղափոխական դաշնակցությունը մայրաքաղաքի Շարլ Ազնավուրի անվան հրապարակում անցկացրած հանրահավաքում հնչեցրել է իր մտահոգությունները հայթուրքական հարաբերություններում վերջին զարգացումների կապակցությամբ:
2011-Վիկ Դարչինյանը հաղթանակով է ավարտել իր առաջին մենամարտը հայրենիքում՝ պարտության մատնելով հարավաֆրիկացի Էվանս Մբամբային։
2015- Տավուշի մարզի սահմանամերձ գյուղերում լարված իրավիճակ է եղել: Գիշերը գնդակոծվել է սահմանամերձ 20 գյուղ, Վազաշենում վիրավորվել է երեք քաղաքացիական անձ:

36 մ.թ.ա.- տեղի է ունեցել ճակատամարտ Նավլոխուի մոտ (Սիցիլիա): Ագրիպպի ղեկավարած Օկտավիանոսի նավատորմը ջախջախել է Սեկստա Պոմպեոսի նավատորմը, որը վերջ է դրել Պոմպեոսի և Օկտավիանոսի միջև ընթացող քաղաքացիական պատերազմին:
301- ըստ ավանդության, հիմնադրվել է Սան Մարինո պետությունը, որը Եվրոպայի հնագույն պետություններից է։
863 - Լալակաոնի ճակատամարտում Բյուզանդիան հաղթել է արաբներին:
1189 - Անգլիայում թագադրվել է Ռիչարդ Առյուծասիրտը՝ Ռիչարդ 1-ինը:
1260- Պաղեստինյան Աին-Խալուտ տարածքում մամլ յուքները ջախջախել են մոնղոլներին: Դա Մոնղոլական Կայսրության առաջին պարտությունն էր:
1658- վախճանվել է անգլիական հեղափոխության առաջնորդ, նշանավոր զորավար և պետական գործիչ Օլիվեր Կրոմվելը։
1783 - Մեծ Բրիտանիան ճանաչել է Միացյալ Նահանգների անկախությունը:
1791 - Ֆրանսիայում առաջին անգամ ընդունվել է Սահմանադրությունը:
1812-Անգլիայում աշխարհում առաջին անգամ գործարանային պայմաններում արտադրվել է պահածոների առաջին խմբաքանակը:
1864 - նիտրոգլիցերինով փորձեր կատարելիս պայթյունը ավերել է Ալֆրեդ Նոբելի ստոկհոլմյան լաբորատորիան, զոհվել են նրա հինգ օգնականները և փոքր եղբայրը:
1883-վախճանվել է ռուս գրող, հրապարակախոս, թատերագիր և թարգմանիչ Իվան Տուրգենևը:
1932 - Սկսվել է Մոսկվայի անվան ջրանցքի շինարարությունը:
1939 - Մեծ Բրիտանիան, Ֆրանսիան, Հնդկաստանը, Ավստրալիան և Նոր Զելանդիան պատերազմ են հայտարարել Գերմանիային:
1943 - սկսվել է հակագերմանական կոալիցիայի զորքերի ափհանումը Իտալիայում:
1950 - իտալական Մոնց քաղաքում ավարտվել է «Ֆորմուլա-1» առաջին մրցաշարը:
1953- ուժի մեջ է մտել Եվրոպայի Խորհրդի կողմից կազմված՝ Մարդու իրավունքների եվրոպական կոնվենցիան։
