«Ես ցավով եմ արձանագրում, որ Հայաստանի վարչապետի աթոռին հայտնված մարդը բացի հանրահավաքային դատարկ ելույթներ ունենալուց ու մեր հասցեին անհիմն մեղադրանքներ հնչեցնելուց, այլ բանի ունակ չէ։ Ինքը այդպես էլ չի հասկացել, թե ինչ կարգավիճակում է հայտնվել։
Դատարկաբանությունն ու ամբոխավարությունն արդեն ամբողջ աշխարհի առաջ են տեղի ունենում՝ Լոս Անջելոսից մինչև Երևան, Ստեփանակերտից մինչև Սոչի։

Նա ամերիկաներից սպառնացել է, որ վերականգնելու է 1998–ից առաջ եղած ստատուս քվոն։ Ճիշտ է, մեր ընտանիքի հասցեին վայրահաչելով ու իր սիրած «երգը» երգելով է դա ասել, բայց նրա խոսքն իրականում այլ բան է նշանակում։
1998–ից առաջ եղած ստատուս քվոն վերականգնել, նշանակում է երկրի տնտեսության հերն անիծել ու վերադառնալ Արցախի խնդրի կարգավորման վաղուց մերժված փուլային տարբերակին։
1998–ից հետո՝ հորս նախագահության 10 տարվա ընթացքում պետական բյուջեն մեծացավ 8 անգամ և երկնիշ տնտեսական աճերով տնտեսության չափերն ավելացան 6 անգամ։ Դրանից, ի դեպ, օգտվել է նաև Նիկոլը, ում թերթային բիզնեսը ծաղկել է այդ տարիներին, նա թանկարժեք շարժական ու անշարժ գույք է ձեռք բերել:
Քոչարյանը նաև թույլ չտվեց, որ Արցախը Նիկոլի քաղաքական հայրիկի առաջարկած տխրահռչակ փուլային տարբերակով հայտնվի Ադրբեջանի կազմում։
Հիմա, եթե նա ուզում է վերադարձնել այս ստատուս քվոն, ապա թույլ չենք տալու։
1998–ի միայն մեկ ստատուս քվո պետք է վերականգնել՝ պատմության աղբանոցը նետել ու վերջնականապես փակել պարտվողականության էջը՝ դրա հիմնադիրով ու մնացուկներով հանդերձ»,- գրել է նա։
