Կալիֆորնիայում ասուլիսի ժամանակ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հերթական սպառնալիքները հնչեցրեց նրանց հասցեին (խոստացավ բառիս բուն ու փոխաբերական իմաստով ծնկի բերել), ովքեր փորձում են այս կառավարության «ողնաշարը կոտրել» կամ «ոտքի տակը փորել»: Սպառնալիքներից բաժին հասավ մամուլին, դատավորներին (նրանցը, կարծես, «մշտական» է) և Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցուն: 

Վերջինիս նկատմամբ իշխանությունների ու իշխանությանը կից որոշ անձանց կողմից սա առաջին հարձակումը չէ:

Բայց ամենակարևորն այն է, որ փաստացի վարչապետը հաշվի չի առնում կամ չի ուզում հաշվի առնել մի քանի հանգամանք:

Նախ՝ այնպիսի տպավորություն է, կարծես Փաշինյանը բացառում է, որ մեր երկրում կան բազմաթիվ մարդիկ, որոնք, մեղմ ասած, ոչ պակաս են սիրում Հայաստանը, ոչ պակաս են անհանգիստ երկրի ու ժողովրդի ապագայով ու դրա համար էլ քննադատում են իրենց, բարձրաձայնում են խնդիրների մասին, ունեն տեսակետներ, որոնք էապես տարբերվում են այս իշխանության մոտեցումներից: Փաստորեն դա գնահատվում է որպես «ողնաշարը կոտրել» կամ «ոտքի տակը փորել»:

Մյուս կողմից, որևէ կառավարություն ապահովագրված չէ «ողնաշարը կոտրելուց», ու դրանից, որպես կանոն, ո՛չ երկրի, ո՛չ ժողովրդի համար մեծ ողբերգություն չի լինում: Բոլոր կառավարություններն ու իշխանություններն անցողիկ են: Այնպես որ, կարևորը ոչ թե որևէ իշխանության կամ կառավարության ողնաշարն է, այլ պետության: Պետք է մտահոգվել պետության ողնաշարի մասին, ոչ թե սեփական իշխանության: Իսկ կառավարության ողնաշարի ու ոտքի տակի հողի ամրության միակ երաշխիքը սեփական գործունեությունն է, այլ ճանապարհ չկա:
