Հայաստանում սեպտեմբերի 24-ի առավոտյան սկսվել են ծավալներով աննախադեպ ռազմավարական զորավարժություններ «Զինված ուժերի ծավալումը, հակառակորդի ագրեսիայի դիմակայությունը» թեմայով։ Զորավարժություններում ներգրավված են պետական կառավարման եւ տեղական ինքնակառավարման մարմինները։ Զորավարժությունները կտեւեն մինչեւ հոկտեմբերի 5-ը։

2019 թվականի պլանին համապատասխան անցկացվող  զորավարժությունների նպատակը պետական կառավարման եւ տեղական ինքնակառավարման մարմինների հմտությունների եւ պատրաստվածության գործնական ստուգումն է, գործնական փորձի ձեռքբերումը, զորավարժություններում գործի դրված կառույցների հնարավորությունների ուսումնասիրումը, շտաբների գործողությունների համակարգումը։ Զորավարժությունների շրջանակում տեղի կունենա մարտական հրաձգություն։ Պաշտպանության նախարարությունում կգործի մամուլի կենտրոն ԶԼՄ ներկայացուցիչների համար։

ԶԼՄ ներկայացուցիչների համար անցկացված ճեպազրույցում ՀՀ ԶՈւ վարչական ապարատի տեղեկատվական բաժնի պետ, գնդապետ Սամվել Ասատրյանը տեղեկացրեց, որ զորավարժություններին համապատասխան՝ ժամը 6-ին «ընդունվել է կառավարության որոշում հանրապետությունում պայմանական ռազմական դրություն մտցնելու մասին»։ ԶՈւ եւ բանակային մարմինները բերվել են լիակատար մարտական պատրաստության վիճակի՝ համապատասխան սահմանափակումներով։ Գերագույն գլխավոր հրամանատարը կոչ է արել պահպանել հանգստություն, ձեռնպահ մնալ կուտակումներից, խնդիրներ չստեղծել ճանապարհներին եւ թույլ տալ զորքերին անխոչընդոտ տեղաշարժվել։
