Ամերիկացիների միայն հինգերորդ մասն Է թեկուզ մասնակիորեն վստահում քաղաքական գործիչներին: Այդ մասին, վկայում Է հասարակական կարծիքի հարցումը, որի տվյալները նոյեմբերի 23-ին հրապարակել Է Pew Research Center-ը:

Այսպես, հարցվածների 19 տոկոսը հայտարարել Է, որ միշտ Էլ, կամ համենայն դեպս դեպքերի մեծ մասում, վստահում Է կառավարությանը: Դա վստահության ամենացածր ցուցանիշներից մեկն Է վերջին կես դարում: Ընդսմին հարցվածների երեք քառորդը (74 տոկոսը) այն կարծիքին Է, որ քաղաքական գործիչներն իրենց շահերը վեր են դասում երկրի շահերից, իսկ 55 տոկոսի կարծիքով, շարքային ամերիակցիներն ավելի լավ են լուծում խնդիրները, քան քաղաքական գործիչները:

Չնայած անվստահությանը, ամերիկացիների մոտ բազմաթիվ խնդիրներ են կուտակվել, որոնք պետք Է լուծի համերկրային կառավարությունը: Այն խնդիրների թվում, որոնցից, ինչպես կարծում են ամերիկացիները, կառավարությունը գլուխ Է հանում, ահաբեկչության (72 տոկոս) եւ տարերային աղետների (79 տոկոս) դեմ պայքարն Է, սննդամթերքի, դեղորայքի անվտանգության ապահովումը (72 տոկոս): Մինչդեռ միայն 28 տոկոսն Է կարծում, որ կառավարությունը գլուխ Է հանում ներգաղթի հետ կապված իրավիճակից, եւ միայն 36 տոկոսն Է այն կարծիքին, որ իշխանությունները հաջողությամբ օգնում են մարդկանց՝ դուրս պրծնելու աղքատության ճիրաններից:

Հարցումն անցկացվել Է օգոստոսի 27-ից մինչեւ հոկտեմբերի 4-ը, դրան մասնակցել են ԱՄՆ-ի բոլոր 50 նահանգների 6 հազար չափահաս բնակիչներ: Հարցման վիճակագրական սխալանքը կազմում Է 1,5 տոկոս, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
