Սեպտեմբերի 30-ը Թարգմանության միջազգային օրն է
SOCIETY2017 թվականին ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեան իր հերթական նիստի ժամանակ միաձայն ընդունեց Բանաձեւը (A/RES/71/288), որում կարեւորվում է մասնագիտական թարգմանության դերը ժողովուրդների միավորման, խաղաղությանը նպաստելու, ըմբռնման եւ զարգացման գործում, եւ սեպտեմբերի 30-ը հայտարարել է Թարգմանության միջազգային օր, գրում է Calend.ru-ն:
Օրացույցում նոր միջազգային տոնի նպատակը հաստատումն է, որ մասնագիտական թարգմանությունը որպես արհեստ եւ արվեստ կարեւոր դեր է խաղում նպատակներին հասնելու եւ Միավորված ազգերի կազմակերպության Կանոնադրությունը պահպանելու, ազգերի մերձեցման, երկխոսությանը նպաստելու, փոխըմբռնման եւ միջազգային խաղաղության ու անվտանգության ամրապնդման հարցում:
Միայն 1991 թվականին թարգմանիչների համար նախաձեռնվեց մասնագիտական տոն՝ Թարգմանիչների միջազգային ֆեդերացիան (International Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs, FIT) հռչակեց սեպտեմբերի 30-ը որպես Թարգմանիչների միջազգային օր
International Translation Day):
Ինքը՝ FIT-ը, հիմնադրվել է 1953 թվականին Փարիզում եւ այսօր միավորում է ավելի քան 100 թարգմանչական ասոցիացիաների թարգմանիչներին ավելի քան 60 երկրներից ամբողջ աշխարհում՝ փորձի, օգտակար տեղեկատվության փոխանակման եւ ազգային կազմակերպությունների միջեւ կապերի ամրապանդման նպատակ հետապնդելով՝ ի շահ իրենց թարգմանիչների, ինչպես նաեւ թարգմանության զարգացման համար՝ որպես մասնագիտություն եւ արվեստ:
