«Հոկտեմբերի 1-ը ճակատագրական է եղել հայ-ռուսական դաշնակցային հարաբերությունների համար:
1827թ. հոկտեմբերի 1-ին գեներալ Պասկևիչի գլխավորությամբ ռուսական բանակն ու հայ կամավորականներն ազատագրեցին Երևանի բերդը: Այդ օրվանից հայ-ռուսական հարաբերությունները թևակոխեցին նոր շրջափուլ:
Երևանի ազատագրմանը հաջորդեց 1828թ. փետրվարին կնքված Թուրքմենչայի պայմանագիրը, որի արդյունքում տասնյակ հազարավոր հայ ընտանիքներ ներգաղթեցին Մայր Հայաստան: Դրան հաջորդեց Հայկական մարզի կազմավորումը, որն ուներ իր սեփական զինանշանը և որի վրա պատկերված էր Արարատը լեռը Նոյան տապանով:
Հենց Հայկական մարզի հիմքի վրա ապագայում վերականգնվեց անկախ Հայոց պետականությունը:
Այսօր Երևանում կանցկացվի Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության բարձրագույն խորհրդի հերթական նիստը:
Մի միություն, որի անդամակցման կշռադատված քաղաքական որոշումը տարիներ առաջ կայացրեց հանրապետական իշխանությունը:
Այն ժամանակ, ով չէր ալարում, քննադատում էր մեզ այդ որոշումն ընդունելու համար, այդ թվում՝ Հայաստանի ներկայիս իշխանությունն ու վարչապետը:
Ակնհայտ է, որ մենք ճիշտ որոշում կայացրեցինք և տարիներ անց այդ քաղաքականության դրական պտուղներից օգտվում է մեր հասարակությունը:

Ավելին, դրա հիմքում ընկած են հայ-ռուսական դաշնակցային հարաբերությունները, որոնք ամենօրյա քրտնաջան աշխատանքի և ոչ թե բարձր կենացների կարիք ունեն:
