«Տիբեթի մեռյալների գիրքը» Հին արևելքի ամենահանելուկային ձեռագրերից մեկն է, որը հասել է մինչև մեր ժամանակներ: Այս արտեֆակտը ստեղծվել է հին մտածողների կողմից և կոդավորված է հատուկ նիշերով ու խորհրդանշաններով: 

Սովորական մարդու համար այս բոլոր «հիերոգլիֆները» ոչինչ չեն նշանակում և ոչինչ չեն ասում, բայց իմաստունները հին ժամանակներից մեզ հասած այս եզակի գրքից ստանում են կյանքին վերաբերող բազմաթիվ հարցերի պատասխաններ և դրա շնորհիվ բացահայտում «հավերժության մեծ գաղտնիքները»: 

Միգուցե այժմ մենք պարզապես հենց այդ մեծագույն իմաստության պակասն ունենք հավերժական հարցերի պատասխաններ ստանալու համար: «Բարդո Տխեդոլը» Տիբեթի մեռյալների գրքի անունն է:

Դա սոսկ արևել յան իմաստության յուրահատուկ աշխատություն չէ. այն ոգևորությամբ ուսումնասիրում են անգամ արևմտյան աշխարհի ժամանակակից փիլիսոփաները և հոգեբանները: 

Կարդալով «Մեռյալների գիրքը»՝ անհնար է զարմանքը զսպել, քանի որ անմիջապես հասկանալի է դառնում, թե ինչքան է այն ժամանակակից և կիրառելի մեր ժամանակի հարցերի պատասխանները ստանալու համար: 

Տպավորություն է ստեղծվում, որ տիբեթական լամաները, որոնք համարվում են «Մեռյալների գրքի» հեղինակները, պարզապես զարմանալի ունակություններ ու իմաստություն ունեին, որոնց արձագանքներն էլ մեզ են հասել այդ գրքով: 

Ենթադրվում է, որ այս գիրքը, որը գրվել է մեր թվարկության 8-րդ դարում, նախատեսված է այն մարդկանց համար, ովքեր պատրաստվում են տեղափոխվել «այլ աշխարհ»: 

Նպատակը, որը հեղինակները դրել են գիրքը գրելիս, այն է, որ մարդուն օգնեն հեշտությամբ անցում կատարել ողջերի աշխարհից դեպի «կյանքի այլ ոլորտներ»: 

Սակայն ներկայումս արդեն հաստատվել է, որ գրքում տեղ գտած իմաստությունը շատ ավելի լայն է, քան վերը նշված նպատակը: Գրքի հրահանգները նախատեսված են բոլոր կենդանի մարդկանց համար, անկախ նրանից՝ մահվան հեռանկարը նրանց մոտ է, թե ոչ: 

«Բարդո Տխեդոլում» ներկայացված տեղեկատվությունը ազդում է մարդկանց կյանքի վրա բազմաթիվ հոգեբանական ասպեկտներով, հետևաբար, կարող է օգտագործվել ինչպես հասարակ կենցաղային կոնֆլիկտների, այնպես էլ հասարակության գլոբալ խնդիրների լուծման համար: 

Այն ուղղորդում է մարդուն դեպի «երջանկության» և «իմաստության» ճանապարհ: «Մեռյալների գիրքը» պատմում է այն մասին, որ կյանքի ճամփորդության վերջում յուրաքանչյուր անհատ ակնկալում է «ազատվել» երկրային խնդիրներից:

Եվ ըստ «Բարդո Տխեդոլի» փիլիսոփայության, այդպիսի «ազատագրություններ» մարդու համար շատ կան, բայց միայն իր ճանապարհի վերջում («Տաո») նա կարող է ազատություն ստանալ Սանսարայի աշխարհների պատրանքներից: 

Ըստ հին արևել յան ուսմունքների, ազատություն ստանալուց հետո մարդու գիտակցությունը շարժվում է դեպի այլ, ավելի կատարյալ աշխարհներ: 

«Մեռյալների գիրքը» սովորեցնում է, թե ինչպես արագացնել այդ տեղափոխությունը՝ առանց կենտրոնանալու մշտական վերածնունդների և վերակենդանացումների (ռեինկարնացիա) վրա: Այս իմացությունը թույլ է տալիս մարդուն խուսափել իր տանջանքների պատճառները չհասկանալուց:
