Աշխատանքային այցով Շվեյցարիայի Համադաշնությունում գտնվող՝ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը Ժնեւում՝ ՄԱԿ-ի կենտրոնակայանում այսօր մասնակցել է ՄԱԿ-ի Առեւտրի եւ զարգացման համաժողովի՝ Նշանավոր անձանց խմբի քննարկմանը (UNCTAD Panel of Eminent Persons):

 

Արմեն Սարգսյանն ընտրվել է ՄԱԿ-ի Առեւտրի եւ զարգացման համաժողովի՝ Նշանավոր անձանց խմբի նախագահ։

 

Խումբը խորհրդատվություն է տրամադրում հաջորդ տասը տարիներին առեւտրի եւ զարգացումների տեսլականի, առանցքային ու հրատապ տնտեսական զարգացման մարտահրավերների վերաբերյալ, առաջարկում դրանց հաղթահարման գաղափարներ եւ լուծումներ։ Նշանավոր անձանց խմբի մասնակիցները, որոնք պետությունների ու կառավարությունների ղեկավարներ, հեղինակավոր տնտեսագետներ ու փորձագետներ են, հրավիրվում են անձամբ UNCTAD-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի կողմից։ Խմբի հանդիպումներն անցկացվում են փակ ձեւաչափով՝ «Չաթըմ հաուզի» կանոններով։

 

Նախագահ Սարգսյանի մասնակցությամբ անցկացված «Հիմնական մարտահրավերներ եւ հնարավորություններ» թեմայով հիմնական քննարկումը վարել է UNCTAD-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Մուքիսա Քիթուին։

 

Քննարկումից հետո Գլխավոր քարտուղարն ասել է որ Նշանավոր անձանց խումբը կոչված է օգնելու՝ հասկանալու, թե ուր է շարժվում աշխարհը, եւ ինչին է պետք ավելի մեծ ուշադրություն դարձնել՝ հաշվի առնելով մարտահրավերները: «Հիմնական նպատակը հետեւյալն է՝ ակադեմիական ոլորտում եւ քաղաքականության մեջ ունեցած փորձառությունը որքանո՞վ կարող է ծառայել այն հարցերի քննարկմանը, որոնք ի հայտ են գալու առաջիկա տասը տարիների ընթացքում: Ինչպե՞ս կարող է ՄԱԿ-ը պատասխանել այս հարցերին, ինչպե՞ս կարող ենք մենք մոդելավորել մեր ծրագրերը՝ համապատասխանեցնելով դրանք արդի մարտահրավերներին, ինչպես նաեւ առաջ քաշել այդ մարտահրավերներին դիմակայելու առաջնորդության գաղափարներ,-ասել է նա։- Այս տարի մեզ հաջողվեց այստեղ բերել մի շարք նշանավոր անձանց, այդ թվում եւ Հայաստանի նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանին՝ մասնակցելու Նշանավոր անձանց խմբի քննարկմանը»։

 

Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության նախկին գլխավոր քարտուղար Միկաել Ժանը, որը նույնպես Նշանավոր անձանց խմբի անդամ է, մասնավորապես նշել է. «Հայաստանը որպես խմբի մաս տեսնելը շատ կարեւոր է ինձ համար, քանի որ հիանալի հիշողություններ ունեմ Հայաստանից, որը միշտ կլինի իմ սրտում։ Կարծում եմ՝ Ձեր երկիրը կարեւոր դերակատար է ՏՏ ոլորտում, օրինակ, ԹՈՒՄՈ կենտրոնը, որի կրթական համակարգն արտահանվում է աշխարհի տարբեր երկրներ: Այն հատուկ ուշադրությունը, որ Հայաստանը դարձնում է կրթությանը, երիտասարդներին աջակցում է նոր տեխնոլոգիաների կիրառման հարցում, շատ նորարարական մոտեցում է, ինչը նշանակալի փաստ է»։
