Թուրքիայի բանակը գրավել է Ռաս էլ Այն սահմանամերձ քաղաքը, երբ այդտեղից հեռացել են «Սիրիական դեմոկրատական ուժերի» (SDF) արաբ-քրդական ջոկատները, հաղորդում է ՌԻԱ Նովոստի-ն՝ հղում կատարելով Սիրիայի պետական հեռուստատեսությանը:

 

Անցած շաբաթ թուրք զինվորականներն ու սիրիական զինված ընդդիմությունը վերահսկողություն են սահմանել Ռաս էլ Այն քաղաքի նկատմամբ: Իր հերթին SDF-ի ներկայացուցիչը հայտարարել է, որ Թուրքիայի սահմանից զորքերի հեռացումը կսկսվի, երբ Թուրքիան թույլ կտա նրանց տարհանել մնացած մարտիկներին ու խաղաղ քաղաքացիներին շրջափակված սահմանամերձ քաղաքից:

 

Ավելի ուշ Թուրքիան եւ ԱՄՆ-ը պայմանավորվել են, որ Անկարան հինգ օրով կդադարեցնի գործողությունները Սիրիայում, որ սիրիական քրդերի ինքնապաշտպանական ուժերը լքեն սահմանի երկայնքով 30-կիլոմետրանոց գոտին:

 

Արաբ-քրդական ջոկատների հրամանատար, Սիրիական դեմոկրատական ուժերի ներկայացուցիչ, գեներալ Մազլում Աբդին հայտարարել է, որ այդ համաձայնագիրը տարածվում է միայն Թել Աբյադ եւ Ռաս էլ Այն քաղաքների միջեւ ընկած գոտում, այսինքն՝ քրդերի կողմից վերահսկվող գոտու միայն մեկ երրորդ մասում: Սիրիայի հարցով ԱՄՆ-ի հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Ջեյմս Ջեֆրին հաստատել է այդ տեղեկատվությունը՝ նշելով, որ Թուրքիան բանակցություններ է վարում Ռուսաստանի եւ Սիրիայի իշխանությունների հետ մնացած շրջանների հարցով:
