A խմբում «Ռեալը» հյուրընկալվելիս նվազագույն՝ 1:0 հաշվով հաղթանակ տարավ «Գալաթասարայի» նկատմամբ: Արքայական ակումբի հաղթական գոլը խփեց գերմանացի կիսապաշտպան Տոնի Կրոսը: ՊՍԺ-ն 5:0 հաշվով հաղթանակի հասավ «Բրյուգեի» նկատմամբ: Մաուրո Իկարդին դարձավ դուբլի, իսկ Կիլիան Մբապեն՝ հեթ-տրիկի հեղինակ:

B խմբում «Բավարիան» Ռոբերտ Լևանդովսկու դուբլի և Կորենտին Տոլիսոյի գոլի շնորհիվ 3:2 հաշվով հաղթեց «Օլիմպիակոսին»: «Տոտենհեմը» 5:0 հաշվով հաղթեց «Ցրվենա Զվեզդային»: Դուբլերի հեղինակ դարձան Սոն Հեն Մինը և Հարի Քեյնը: Աչքի ընկավ նաև Էրիկ Լամելան:

C խմբում «Մանչեսթեր Սիթին» ուժերը չափեց «Ատալանտայի» հետ: Խոսեպ Գվարդիոլայի գլխավորած թիմը հաղթանակ տարավ 5:1 հաշվով: Ռահիմ Ստերլինգը դարձավ հեթ-տրիկի, Սերխիո Ագուերոն՝ դուբլի հեղինակ:

D խմբում Իտալիայի չեմպիոն «Յուվենտուսը» տնային խաղում մրցեց Մոսկվայի «Լոկոմոտիվի» հետ: Մինչև հանդիպման 77-րդ րոպեն «Յուվենտուսը» պարտվում էր նվազագույն՝ 0:1 հաշվով, սակայն Մաուրիցիո Սարիի գլխավորած թիմի արգենտինացի հարձակվող Պաուլո Դիբալան 3 րոպեում 2 գոլ խփեց և հաղթանակ պարգևեց իր թիմին:
