Հոկտեմբերի 28-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում ընդունեց Արևելքի Ասորի Եկեղեցու պատվիրակությանը՝ առաջնորդությամբ Արևելքի Ասորի Եկեղեցու պատրիարքարանի Միջեկեղեցական հարաբերությունների գրասենյակի պատասխանատու, Կալիֆորնիայի (ԱՄՆ) Արևելքի Ասորի Եկեղեցու առաջնորդ և Սինոդի քարտուղար եպիսկոպոս Մար Ավա Ռոյելի:

 

Հանդիպմանը Մայր Աթոռի Միջեկեղեցական հարաբերությունների բաժնի պատասխանատու Հոգեշնորհ Տ. Շահե ծայրագույն վարդապետ Անանյանը Նորին Սրբությանը ներկայացրեց հյուրերին: Ապա Արևելքի Ասորի Եկեղեցու Սինոդի քարտուղար եպիսկոպոս Մար Ավա Ռոյելը Վեհափառ Հայրապետին փոխանցեց Արևելքի Ասորի Եկեղեցու Նորին Սրբություն Գիվարգիզ Գ Սլիվա Կաթողիկոս-Պատրիարքի ողջույնները և գրությունը, որով Կաթողիկոս-Պատրիարքի և Եկեղեցու Սուրբ Սինոդի անունից պաշտոնապես տեղեկացվում է, որ Էրբիլում (Իրաք) 2019 թ. մայիսի 13-19-ը Նորին Սրբության նախագահությամբ տեղի ունեցած Սինոդի ժողովի ժամանակ Արևելքի Ասորի Եկեղեցին պաշտոնապես ճանաչել է Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը: Պատվիրակության կազմում էին Իրանի թեմի առաջնորդ եպիսկոպոս Մար Նասսայ Բենիամինը, Մելբուրնի և Նոր Զելանդիայի եպիսկոպոս Մար Բենիամին Էյան և Հայաստանում Արևելքի Ասորի Եկեղեցու սպասավոր Հայր Նիկոդեմոս Ցուխանաևը:

 

 

Հանդիպմանը Նորին Սրբությունը հաստատեց նաև, որ առիթներ ունեցել է այցելելու Հայաստանի ասորական տարբեր համայնքներ և շփվելու համայնքների անդամների հետ` ընդգծելով, որ վերջիններս պահպանում են իրենց լեզուն և մշակութային առանձնահատկությունները:

 

Ապա Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը հետաքրքրվեց Արևելքի Ասորի Եկեղեցու պատմությամբ և մերօրյա առաքելությամբ, Եկեղեցու հովվական իշխանության ներքո գտնվող աշխարհասփյուռ համայնքներով և տարբեր երկրներում հայկական համայնքների հետ ձևավորված կապերով:
