«Սիրելի ժողովուրդ, Շարմազանովի կենսագրությունը, թերևս, շատերդ գիտեք․․․
Այդուամենայնիվ համառոտ վերհիշենք նրա անցած ուղին․․․
1997 թ. ավարտել է Խաչատուր Աբովյանի անվան մանկավարժական ինստիտուտ պատմաաշխարհագրական ֆակուլտետի պատմության բաժինը,
2000 թ.' ՀՊՄԻ հայոց պատմության ամբիոնի ասպիրանտուրան, 2006 թ.' Եվրոպայի խորհրդին կից Մոսկվայի քաղաքական հետազոտությունների դպրոցը․․․
Մանկավարժական գիտությունների թեկնածու։ Թեման՝ «Գարեգին Նժդեհի մանկավարժական հայացքները»․․․
Մի շարք գիտական, հրապարակախոսական հոդվածների, «Գարեգին Նժդեհը և ռազմական մանկավարժության հիմնահարցերը» մենագրության հեղինակն է…
1995 թ. հիմնադրել է Ալավերդու ուսանողական «Զարթոնք» միությունը, 1997-1999 թթ. եղել է ՀՊՄԻ ուսանողական գիտական ընկերության ղեկավարը․․․
1999-2002 թթ. աշխատել է թիվ 159 կրթահամալիրում՝ որպես ուսուցիչ, 2002-2005 թթ.' ՀՊՄԻ ուսանողական խորհրդի նախագահ, ռեկտորի օգնական, ՀՊՄՀ Հայոց պատմության ամբիոնի դասախոս, ՀՀԿ երիտասարդական կազմակերպության փոխնախագահ․․․
Նրա մասին աս ամենը տեղեկանում ենք Վիքիպեդիայից, սակայն կան բաներ, որ անգամ ամենազոր Վիքիպեդիան չի կարող իմանալ․․․
Շարմազանովին առաջին անգամ տեսել եմ մեր համալսարանում։ Մանկավարժականի այդ տարիների ուսանողները, թերևս, կհիշեն, որ Շարմազանովն աչքի ընկնող և ակտիվ երիտասարդ էր․․․
Այդ տարիներերին, նրա մեջ, իսկապես կար հայրենասիրություն։ Ուսանող Շարմազանովը կարողանում էր համախմբել մարդկանց, մասնակցում էր ցույցերի․․․
Էդուարդն ըմբոստ բնավորություն ուներ, ինչն էլ գրավեց ինձ նրա մեջ։ Տարիներ անցան, սակայն նա այդպես էլ չիմացավ, որ համակրել եմ իրեն․․․
Իսկ այդ զգացմունք ինձ մոտ ապրեց այնքան ժամանակ, մինչև որ Շարմազանովը չմտավ քաղաքականություն ու կուսակիցների հետ սկսեց կեղեքել մեր պետությունը․․․
Հայրենիքիս հանդեպ ունեացած սերն ավելի զորեղ գտնվեց՝ ներանձնային սիրուց ու ժամանակի հետ սկսեց մարել ամեն բան․․․
Բացեմ նաև մի գաղտնիք․ Յուրաքանչյուր մարդու սրտում, որքան էլ որ մեծ լինի սիրո զգացումը որևէ մեկի հանդեպ, միևնույն է,
եթե մարդն իր շրջապատում, իր երկրում չի վայելում հարգանք ու սեր, ապա վաղ թե ուշ հանգչելու է այդ սերը։ Ինչն էլ պատահեց հենց ինձ հետ․․․»:
