Հանրապետական սենատոր Լինդսի Գրեմը խիստ քննադատեց Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանին Օվալաձեւ կաբինետում նոյեմբերի 13-ին լարված ընդունելության ժամանակ, Սիրիա ներխուժելու եւ Ամերիկայի քուրդ դաշնակիցների վրա հարձակումների առիթով, տեղեկացնում է FoxNews-ը՝ հղում կատարելով հենց սենատորին եւ նրա օգնականներին։

Վաշինգտոն այցելության ընթացքում Էրդողանը հանդիպել է նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի եւ մի քանի հանրապետական սենատորների հետ Սպիտակ տանը։ Հանդիպման ընթացքում շատ բողոքներ են հնչել։ Ինչ-որ պահի, օգնականների խոսքով, Գրեմը «հարձակվել է Էրդողանի վրա՝ քննադատելով այն պնդումը, որ Թուրքիան պայքարում է ԻԼԻՊ-ի դեմ»։ Միեւնույն ժամանակ, սենատորն ագրեսիվ է եղել։

Աղբյուրների համաձայն՝ Գրեմն Էրդողանին ասել է. «Դուք արեցիք այն, ինչի մասին ոչ ոք չէր մտածում։ Դուք միավորեցիք ԱՄՆ-ը... Թուրքիայի դեմ»։

Սենատորների մասնակցությունը օտարերկրյա առաջնորդի հետ նախագահի հանդիպմանը բավական անսովոր երեւույթ է։

Կոնգրեսի օգնականներն ասել են, որ Սպիտակ տունը ցանկանում էր, որպեսզի Էրդողանն անմիջապես սենատորներից լսի նրանց մտահոգությունների մասին։ Որոշվել է օգտագործել «լավ ոստիկան, վատ ոստիկան» սցենարը, որտեղ Թրամփը խաղում էր «չեզոք» ոստիկանի դերը, երբ սենատորները հարձակվում էին Էրդողանի վրա։ Օգնականներից մեկն ասել է, որ «Գրեմը ամենավատ ոստիկանն էր»։

Էրդողանը  հանել է իր iPad-ը, որպեսզի ցույց տա սենատորներին քարոզչական տեսանյութը, որը քրդերին ներկայացնում է որպես ահաբեկիչներ։ Գրեմը հաստատել է դա՝ նշելով, որ Էրդողանին հարցրել է. «Դուք ուզում եք, որպեսզի ես քրդերին խնդրեմ տեսանյութ ցույց տալ այն մասին, թե ինչ են արել ձե՞ր ուժերը»։

Նա ասել է, որ հատկապես զայրացել է Էրդողանի հայտարարությունից ԻԼԻՊ-ի դեմ ծանր մարտի մասին՝ հաշվի առնելով քրդական ուժերի կրած բոլոր կորուստները։

Էրդողանը հանդիպումն օգտագործել է որպես շանս՝ պաշտպանելու ռազմական հարձակումն ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից աջակցվող քրդական ուժերի դեմ  Սիրիայի հյուսիս-արեւելքում։

Նրա խոսքերը չեն կարողացել հանգստացնել Կոնգրեսի անդամներին եւ մյուսներին, որոնք մեղադրում են Թուրքիայի կողմից աջակցվող ուժերին քուրդ խաղաղ բնակիչների սպանության եւ ներխուժման ժամանակ հումանիտար աղետի առաջացման մեջ, ինչն ԱՄՆ-ին մղել է անցած ամիս շտապ տարհանել ամերիկյան զինվորականների ոչ մեծ քանակությունն այդ շրջանից։

«Թեեւ մեր դաշինքը Թուրքիայի հետ կարեւոր է ԱՄՆ ազգային անվտանգության շահերի համար, Թուրքիայի հարձակումը մեր քուրդ դաշնակիցների վրա միանգամայն անըդնունելի է»,- ասել է սենատոր Թեդ Քրուզը, որը նույնպես մասնակցում էր հանդիպմանը։

Նշենք, որ հենց Լինդսի Գրեմն է Էրդողանի հետ հանդիպումից հետո արգելափակել Սենատում Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման բանաձեւը։
