Դիցաբանությունը միայն միֆերով լցված կույտ չէ, այն նաև սովորեցնում է կնոջ ու տղամարդու հարաբերությունների նուրբ արվեստը, որը պետք կգա յուրաքանչյուր սիրահար զույգի։ Վերջերս հոգեբանները առանձնացրել են դիցաբանության թերևս ամենահայտնի հերոսին՝ Հերկուլեսին, ում և Օմֆալայի սիրային կապի օրինակով էլ բացատրել են, թե ինչպես կարելի է ենթարկեցնել տղամարդուն ու ստիպել նրան խելքահան լինել։ 

Հերկուլեսը անհաղթ ու անվախ հերոս էր, ով կարողացավ հաղթել Հիդրային, առասպելական ցուլին, բայց , չգիտես ինչու, Օմֆալայի գայթակղությանը չդիմացավ ու ամբողջովին կորցրեց իր քաջությունը նրա ճիրաններում։ Ինչպե՞ս Օմֆալային դա հաջողվեց։ 

Հերկուլեսը հայտնվեց Օմֆալայի ապարանքում, երբ նա սպանել էր ԻՖիտի որդուն ու ստիպված էր ստրկության մատնվել՝ կնոջը հանձնելով իր զենքը։ Սկզբում Հերկուլեսը դիմադրում էր, սակայն հետո նա անհույս սիրահարվեց Օմֆալային և ինքնակամ նրան հանձնեց իր զենքը։ Հերկուլեսն այնքան էր իրեն կորցրել, որ օրերով դուրս չէր գալիս Օմֆալայի սենյակից ու համաձայն էր նրա հետ անցկացնել իր ամբողջ ժամանակը՝ անգամ կնոջ հագուստ հագնելու ու աննկատ նրա սենյակ մտնելու գնով։ 

 

Այս սիրային պատմությունը երկու կարևոր հաղորդագրություն է ուղարկում. 

 
  1. Սերը կարող է զինաթափել անգամ ամենաուժեղ հերոսին։ 
  2. Տղամարդը կնոջ գրկում կարող է կորցնել իր ամբողջ տղամարդկայնությունը։
