Գերմանիայի Կոտբուս քաղաքում ավարտվող սպորտային մարմնամարզության աշխարհի գավաթի խաղարկության փուլում Հայաստանի ներկայացուցիչ Արթուր Ավետիսյանը բրոնզե մեդալ է նվաճել օղակների վարժությունում: Նա վաստակել է 14,833 միավոր՝ առաջ թողնելով չինացի եւ հույն մրցակիցներին: Ավետիսյանը օղակների վարժության եզրափակիչ էր դուրս եկել 4-րդ տեղով (14,666):

 

Սա Հայաստանի միակ մեդալն է աշխարհի գավաթի խաղարկությունում: Օղակների վարժությունում Հայաստանի մյուս ներկայացուցիչ, 2019 թվականի Եվրոպայի բրոնզե մեդալակիր Վահագն Դավթյանը 14,825 միավորով 5-րդն է:

 

Եվրոպայի նախկին չեմպիոն, աշխարհի բրոնզե մեդալակիր Հարություն Մերդինյանը նժույգի վարժության եզրափակիչում 4-րդ տեղն է զբաղեցրել 14,733 միավորով: Հարություն Մերդինյանը եզրափակիչ էր դուրս եկել 7-րդ տեղի արդյունքով(14,266): Հայաստանի հավաքականի կազմում մասնակցել է նաեւ Եվրոպական երկրորդ խաղերի չեմպիոն Արթուր Դավթյանը, որը անհաջող է հանդես եկել: Դավթյանին չի հաջողվել հաղթահարել հենացատկի, պտտաձողի, նժույգի եւ ազատ վարժության որակավորման փուլերը: Հենացատկում՝ 13.100 միավորով գրավել է 20-րդ տեղը, պտտաձողի վարժությունում՝ 13-րդը (13.733 միավոր), նժույգի վարժությունում 25-րդը, իսկ ազատ վարժությունում 29-րդը:

 

Աշխարհի գավաթի խաղարկությունը վարկանիշային է Տոկիո-2020 Օլիմպիական խաղերի համար: Հայ մարմնամարզիկներից անվանական օլիմպիական ուղեգիր ունի միայն Արթուր Դավթյանը, որը Տոկիո-2020-ում հանդես կգա հենացատկի վարժությունում:
