Կյանքի 82-րդ տարում վախճանվել է բանաստեղծ, թարգմանիչ, ՀՀ մշակույթի վաստակավոր գործիչ Յուրի Սահակյանը: Այս մասին «Ֆեյսբուք»-ի իր էջում տեղեկացրել է Հայաստանի գրողների միության նախագահ Էդվարդ Միլիտոնյանը:

«Վաստակաշատ գրողի, մանուկների և բոլոր ընթերցողների սիրելի բանաստեղծի ու բարեկամի, հրաշալի գործընկերոջ և մարդու հիշատակը միշտ վառ կմնա նրան ճանաչողների ու մտերիմների սրտերում»,-գրել է Միլիտոնյանը:

Գրականագետ Արքմենիկ Նիկողոսյանն էլ «Ֆեյսբուք»-ի իր էջում նշել է, որ, երբ  ուսումնասիրել է 1960-ականներին ասպարեզ իջած բանաստեղծների գործերը, սկզբում  իրեն ամենաշատը հենց Յուրի Սահակյանն է տպավորել, հատկապես՝ «Իմ դիմանկարը» բանաստեղծությունը: Նիկողոսյանը սոցիալական ցանցում  մի հատված է տեղադրել  վերոնշյալ բանաստեղծությունից.

Նկարեցեք ինձ ահա այսպես

երիտասարդ,

միջակից բարձր հասակով,

20-րդ դարի ֆոնի վրա,

աչքերում վիշտը 41 թվի

և հրճվանքը տիեզերական վաղվա:

Ես այն սերունդն եմ,

ում հայրերը չծերացան

տանը, առօրյա հոգսերի մեջ:

Ես այն սերունդն եմ,

ով բոլոր գրքերը կարդաց

պատերազմի մասին՝

հայրերին գտնելու հույսով

ու հասկացավ, որ գրքերը հորինված են:

Հարկավոր էր նրանց փնտրել կյանքում:

Ու գնաց հայրերի հետքերով:

Յուրի Սահակյանը ծնվել է 1937 թվականին Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Մարտակերտի շրջանի Չայլու գյուղում։ Ավարտել է Երևանի պետական համալսարանի բանասիրական ֆակուլտետը: Մասնակցել է Մոսկվայի Մ. Գորկու անվան գրականության ինստիտուտին կից բարձրագույն գրական դասընթացներին։ Աշխատել է Երևանի հեռուստատեսության ստուդիայում, «Հայրենիքի ձայն» շաբաթաթերթում, Հայաստանի գրքասերների ընկերությունում, «Սովետական գրող» և «Արևիկ» հրատարակչություններում։

Յուրի Սահակյանը հեղինակ է երեք տասնյակից ավելի բանաստեղծական ժողովածուների (մեծ մասը՝ գրված մանուկների համար)։ Նրա բանաստեղծությունների հիման վրա գրվել են բազմաթիվ երգեր։

Ընթերցողների կողմից սիրված բանաստեղծությունների ու երգերի համար Յուրի Սահակյանն արժանացել է ՀՀ մշակույթի վաստակավոր գործչի և Արցախի Հանրապետության մշակույթի և արվեստի վաստակավոր գործչի կոչումների, «Ոսկե եղեգ» պետական գրական առաջին կարգի մրցանակի, «Մովսես Խորենացի» մեդալի։
