ՀՀ նախկին գլխավոր դատախազ Գևորգ Կոստանյանը չի մեկնաբանում մամուլի այն հրապարակումները, ըստ որոնց, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի թիմակիցներն այս տարվա փետրվարին իրեն առաջարկել են Գլխավոր դատախազի պաշտոնը, եթե նա համաձայնի ցուցմունք տալ երրորդ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի դեմ։
Արդյոք իրեն իշխանություններից նոր պաշտոնի առաջարկներ եղե՞լ են՝ NEWS.am-ի հարցին նա նույն պատասխանը տվեց. «Չեմ մեկնաբանում»։
Դիտարկմանը, որ հեղափոխությունից հետո ինքը պաշտպանում էր Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին, Կոստանյանն արձագանքեց. «Ես հայտարարել էի, որ եթե Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի սկզբունքները և նպատակներն ազնիվ են, եթե դրանք ուղղված են երկրի բարօրությանը, ապա ես իր կողքին կանգնած եմ»։
Կոստանյանի խոսքով՝ հիմա ինքը չի կարծում, թե դրանք ուղղված են երկրի բարօրությանը. «Իհարկե ոչ։ Կարծում եմ, որ տրամագծորեն հակառակն է»։
Հատուկ քննչական ծառայության պետ Սասուն Խաչատրյանն այսօր լրագրողների հետ զրույցում խոսելով Կոստանյանի նկատմամբ հնարավոր հետախուզում հայտարարելու մասին, առաջարկել էր սպասել 48 ժամ, որից հետո քննարկել այդ հարցը։
«Ես Սասուն Խաչատրյանի հետ երբեք չեմ խոսել։ Եվ վստահ եմ, որ երբեք չեմ էլ խոսելու։ Սասուն Խաչատրյանին ես չեմ ցանկանում մեկնաբանել: Թող ինքն իրեն մեկնաբանի, իր յուրաքանչյուր ասածի հետևանքները: Ծանոթ չեմ իր հայտարարությանը և չեմ էլ ցանկանում լսել»,– ասաց Գևորգ կոստանյանը։
Անդրադառնալով Մարտի 1–ի գործով իրեն առաջադրված մեղադրանքին՝ Կոստանյանն ասաց. Մարտի 1-ի» գործ ասելով մենք նկատի ունենք տասը մարդու մահվան փաստերը։ Տասը մարդու մահվան գործով դեռևս մեղադրանք չի առաջադրվել, որովհետև չեն կարողանում։ Չեն կարողանում բացահայտել, և այս բոլոր քրեական գործերի քննությունը ուղղված է հենց նրան, որ ցույց տան իրենց անկարողությունը՝ բացահայտելու տասը մարդու մահվան գործը»։
Կոստանյանը նշեց, որ ՌԴ–ից Հայաստան կվերադառնա, երբ ավարտվեն իր պայմանագրային պարտավորությունները՝ հաջորդ տարվա մայիսին։
Ավելի վաղ հաղորդվել է, որ քննչական մարմինը որոշել է մեղադրանք առաջադրել Գեւորգ Կոստանյանին եւ հաշվի առնելով այն, որ նա գտնվում է Հայաստանի սահմաններից դուրս, նրան ներկայանալու համար տրամադրել է 48 ժամ: Ի պատասխան՝ Կոստանյանը ԶԼՄ-ների միջոցով հայտարարել է, որ անպայման կվերադառնա, սակայն դա կանի ավելի ուշ:
