ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարի տեղակալ Շավարշ Քոչարյանը Հայաստանն  այս պահին ահաբեկչությունից հարաբերական ապահով երկիր է համարում: Կառավարության նիստից հետո լրագրողների հետ զրույցում անդրադառնալով հարցին, թե Հայաստանը որքանո՞վ է ապահովագրված ահաբեկչական գործողություններից՝ Քոչարյանն ասաց, որ ահաբեկչությունն ամբողջ աշխարհին է սպառնում:

«Պետք է հստակ տարբերակել` կա պետական ահաբեկչություն, կան տարբեր ցանցերի կողմից ահաբեկչական գործողություններ: Պետք է հասկանալ. եթե խոսքը միջազգային ցանցերի կողմից ահաբեկչությանն է վերաբերում, ապա ցանկացած պետություն միշտ պետք է զգույշ լինի: Համենայն դեպս, Հայաստանն  այս պահին հարաբերական ապահով երկիր է»,- ասաց փոխարտգործնախարարը: 

Աշխարհում աճող սպառնալիքի պայմաններում Հայաստանն ամենաանվտանգ երկրների թվին է դասվում: Այս մասին նշվել է այս ամիս Լոնդոնի էկոնոմիկայի և խաղաղության ինստիտուտի հրապարակած «Համաշխարհային ահաբեկչության ինդեքս 2015» (Global Terrorism Index 2015) ամենամյա զեկույցում: 162 երկրների համար կազմված վարկանշային ցուցակում, որտեղ առաջին հորիզոնականը զբաղեցրած երկրներն ամենավտանգավորն են, Հայաստանը զբաղեցրել է 116-րդ տեղը: Հարևան երկրներն ունեն Հայաստանին զիջող ցուցանիշներ: Օրինակ, Թուրքիան զբաղեցրել է 27-րդ հորիզոնականը, Իրանը՝ 39-ր դ, Վրաստանը՝ 71-րդ, Ադրբեջանը՝ 93-րդ: Ռուսաստանը ցուցակում 23-րդն է, իսկ Միացյալ Նահանգները՝ 35-րդը: Ահաբեկչական սպառնալիք առավելագույնս պարունակող երկրների տասնյակը հետևյալն է՝ Իրաք, Աֆղանստան, Նիգերիա, Պակիստան, Սիրիա, Հնդկաստան, Եմեն, Սոմալի, Լիբիա, Թայլանդ:
