«Հարգելի՛ հայրենակիցներ,
այս օրերին շատ է քննարկվում ՀՀ-ում պարտադիր զինվորական ծառայության մասին օրենքում փոփոխություններ կատարելու հարցը: Կարծում եմ, որ պատերազմական երկրում զինվորական ծառայությունը պարտադիր է բոլորի համար, և որևիցե մեկը արտոնյալ չպետք է լինի, որևիցե մեկը, անկախ իր ունեցած գումարի չափից, չպետք է խույս տա պարտադիր զինվորական ծառայությունից:
Ասեմ ավելին` բոլոր այն բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաները, ովքեր չեն ծառայել հայոց բանակում, պետք է առնվազն 6-ամսյա զինվորական պատրաստվածության դասընթացներ անցնեն առաջնագծում, ցանկալի է Արցախում, որպեսզի ավելի լավ հասկանան՝ ինչ է նշանակում ՀԱՅՐԵՆԻՔ, և ինչ է նշանակում զենքը ձեռքին հայրենի հողը պաշտպանելը:
Մշտապես կարևորել եմ և կարևորում եմ բանակում ռեֆորմների իրականացումը. դեռևս 2016 թվականին առաջարկել էի առաջնագծում 18 տարեկան նորակոչիկներին փոխարինել ռազմական ուղի անցած պրոֆեսիոնալ զինվորականներով:
Հուսով եմ՝ կգա մի օր, երբ մեր ամբողջ ազգաբնակչությունը կկարողանա արհեստավարժորեն զենք օգտագործել, քանի որ, չմոռանանք, որ մենք շրջապատված ենք թշնամի պետություններով, ի դեմս՝ Թուրքիայի և Ադրբեջանի: Յուրաքանչյուր հայի համար հայոց բանակում ծառայելը պետք է պատիվ լինի: Միայն հզոր բանակով կարող ենք հզոր պետություն կառուցել»:
