Europa Nostra-ն պաշտպանում է Եվրոպայի մշակութային և բնական
ժառանգությունը և իրականացնում է Եվրոպայում ոչնչացման վտանգի տակ գտնվող հուշարձանների, տեղանքների ու լանդշաֆտների փրկարարական ակցիաներ, մասնավորապես` «7 Most Endangered» / 7 առավել վտանգված/ ծրագրի շրջանակներում:
 
Միջազգային 15 փորձագետներից կազմված հանձնախումբը ընտրեց ժառանգության առավել խոցելի օբյեկտները ՝ հիմնվելով նրանց պատմական և մշակութային արժեքների և դրանց ոչնչացմանը միտված սպառնալիքների վտանգի հրատապության վրա:
 
Եվրոպական ժառանգության 7 առավել խոցելի արժեքների վերջնական ցուցակը կհրապարակվի 2020-ի մարտին:
 
Եվրոպական ժառանգության 14 օբյեկտներ ընդգրկվել են 2020 թվականի «7 Most Endangered» ծրագրի ցանկի մեջ, որոնց թվում է նաև ՀԱՅԱՍՏԱՆԻ Տավուշի մարզի Խորանաշատ վանական համալիրը։
 
Խորանաշատ վանական համալիրը միջնադարյան հայկական ճարտարապետության յուրօրինակ նմուշ է, որը հայտնաբերվել է երկրի հյուսիս-արևելքում՝ Ադրբեջանի հետ սահմանին շատ մոտ և շրջապատված է անտառային լանդշաֆտով: Նախկինում դա մի ուշագրավ մշակութային կենտրոն էր, որն ընդգրկում էր իր մեջ վանք և համալսարան: Այսօր այն շարունակում է գործել որպես միակ ուխտատեղի՝ մերձակա Չինարի և Այգեձոր գյուղերի համար:
Միջնադարում կառուցված բազմաթիվ շինություններից պահպանվել են միայն Սուրբ Աստվածածին եկեղեցին և Սբ․Կիրակի մատուռը:
