Ոչ բոլորը գիտեն, որ ամենահայտնի հեքիաթները, ավելի վաղ գոյություն ունեցած պատմությունների մշակումներն են։ Օրինակ, «Քնած Գեղեցկուհի» ասելիս շատերս անմիջաես հիշում ենք Դիսնեյի մուլտֆիլմը, նկարահանված Շառլ Պերոյի հեքիաթի հիման վրա։ Վերջինս իրականում վերամշակել է XVII դարի իտալացի պոետ Ջամբատիստա Բազիլեի մշակումը, որն իր հերթին փոխառել է այն բանահյուսությունից։ «Քնած գեղեցկուհին», Ջամբատիստա Բազիլե։ Օրիգինալ անվանումը «Արև, Լուսին և Տալիա» Կախարդուհու անեծքի և իլիկի ասեղի ծակոցի պատճառով Տալիա անունով գեղեցկուհին քնում է։ Նրան տանում են անտառում մի լքված խրճիթ։ Մի անգամ որսի ժամանակ խրճիթը գտնում է տեղի թագավորը և սիրահարվում է նրան։

Որոշ ժամանակ անց քնած աղջիկը զույգ երեխա է ունենում՝ Արևին և Լուսնին։ Նրանք պառկած են նրա կրծքին։ Մի անգամ տղան կորցնում է մոր կուրծքը և փոխարենը նրա մատն է վերցնում բերանը, այն նույն մատը, որը ծակել էր իլիկի թունավոր ասեղը։ Նա ծծում է այդ թույնը և Տալիան արթնանում է։ Այդ ժամանակ նրա մոտ կրկին գալիս է թագավորը, տեսնում է ողջ գեղեցկուհուն ու նրա երեխաներին, հասկանում է, որ ուզում է նրանց հետ լինել։ Սակայն թագավորն ամուսնացած է։ Կինը գլխի է ընկնում, որ ամուսինը սիրուհի ունի և հրամայում է եփել երեխաներին և վառել արքայադստերը։

Զույգերին փրկում է խոհարարը, իսկ գեղեցկուհուն՝ թագավորը։ Տալիայի փոխարեն կրակի մեջ է ընկնում թագուհին։ Վերջում թագավորն ամուսնանում է Տալիայի հետ։ «Մոխրոտը», Ջամբատիստա Բազիլե։ Օրիգինալ անվանումը՝ «Զեզոլա» Զեզոլան չի կարողանում դիմանալ խորթ մոր նվաստացումներին և իր դայակի հետ միասին սունդուկի կափարիչով կոտրում է նրա վիզը։ Դայակը, որը վաղուց էր հավանում Զեզոլայի հորը, շատ արագ դառնում է Զեզոլայի նոր խորթ մայրը։ Նոր մայրը 6 դուստր ունի, որոնք Զեզոլային հանգիստ չեն տալիս։ Մի անգամ գեղեցիկ աղջկան տեսնում է թագավորը և սիրահարվում է։ Մնացած պատմությունն այնպես է, ինչպես մուլտֆիլմում, պարզապես բյուրեղապակե կոշիկի փոխարեն հասարակ գեղջկական կոշիկն է հանդես գալիս։ «Սպիտակաձյունիկը», Ջամբատիստա Բազիլե
