1908 - ծնվել է նկարիչ Էդուարդ Սարգսյանը: 

1918- հայ-վրացական պատերազմի ժամանակ անգլիական զորքերը մտել են Թիֆլիս: 

1920– Տաթևի վանքում կայացել է Համազանգեզուրյան 1-ին համագումարը, որը մերժել է տարծքը Ադրբեջանին տալու պահանջը, և որոշվել է Զանգեզուրը ժամանակավորապես հռչակել անկախ պետություն «Ինքնավար Սյունիք» անունով, իսկ Գարեգին Նժդեհը դարձել է Սյունիքի սպարապետ։ 

1991- Հայաստանը դիվանագիտական հարաբերություններ է հաստատել ԱՄՆ-ի հետ: 

1997 - վախճանվել է ազգությամբ հայ, ֆրանսիացի բնախույզ, աշխարհում առաջին կին օվկիանոսագետ, լուսանկարիչ Անիտա Կոնտին:

ԱՇԽԱՐՀ

800 -Կարլ Մեծը թագադրվել է որպես Հռոմի «Արևելքի կայսր»: 

1642– ծնվել է անգլիացի աշխարհահռչակ ֆիզիկոս, մաթեմատիկոս, աստղագետ, ալքիմիկոս, փիլիսոփա և աստվածաբան Իսահակ Նյուտոնը։ 

1759 -Սանկտ Պետերբուրգում ակադեմիկոս Յոզեֆ Բրաունը առաջին անգամ ստացել է պինդ սնդիկ: 

1878 -ծնվել է շվեյցարական ծագմամբ ամերիկացի ավտոարշավորդ և ավտոարտադրող Լուի Շևրոլեն: 1917 -Ուկրաինայում հաստատվել է խորհրդային իշխանություն: 

1925-վախճանվել է ռուս ֆիզիկոս, ռենտգենային սպեկտրոսկոպիայի ստեղծող Գեորգի Վուլֆը: 1938 -ծնվել է չեխ գրող Կարել Չապեկը: 

1946 -ԽՍՀՄ-ում Կուրչատովի ղեկավարությամբ գործարկվել է Եվրոպայում առաջին ատոմային ռեակտորը: 

1977 –վախճանվել է անգլիացի նշանավոր կինոդերասան, սցենարիստ, երգահան և ռեժիսոր, կինեմատոգրաֆի ունիվերսալ վարպետ Չարլի Չապլինը: 

1979–խորհրդային զորքերը մտցվել են Աֆղանստան, սկսվել է Աֆղանական պատերազմը։ 

1989 -գնդակահարվել է Ռումինիայի նախկին ղեկավար Նիկոլայ Չաուշեսկուն: 

1990- առաջին անգամ Թիմոտի Ջոն Բեռներս-Լիին հաջողվել է ապահովել Hypertext Transfer Protoc-ը, որը համարվում է համացանցի ծննդյան օրը։ 

1991– ԽՍՀՄ առաջին և վերջին նախագահ Միխայիլ Գորբաչովը հրաժարական է տվել։ 

2010 -հյուսիսային կիսագնդում ԱՄՆից մինչև Եվրոպա տեղացել է անոմալ սառցե անձրև: 

2016 - Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության պաշտպանության նախարարությանը պատկանող Տու-154 ինքնաթիռը վթարվել է Սոչիի մոտ և ընկել Սև ծով, զոհվել է 92 մարդ։
