SOCIETYԴՆԹ անալիզի շնորհիվ նույնականացվել է ավելի քան 40 տարի առաջ քարանձավում հայտնաբերված տղամարդու մարմինը, հաղորդում է Usa Today-ը:
Շրջանի շերիֆ Կլարկի գրասենյակը հաստատել է, որ դա Ջոզեֆ Հենրի Լավլեսն է՝ հանցագործ եւ մարդասպան, որը սպանվել է 1916 թվականին բանտից փախնելուց հետո:
Լավլեսը ծնվել է 1870 թվականին Յութա նահանգի Փեյսոն քաղաքում: Նա երկու անգամ ամուսնացել էր, ուներ 5 երեխա: 1913 թվականին նա ձերբակալվել էր ոգելից խմիչքների ապօրինի առեւտրի համար: 1916 թվականին Լավլեսը փախել էր բանտից: Նրան բռնել էին եւ հետ ուղարկել բանտ, որտեղից նա կրկին փախել էր:
1916 թվականի մայիսի 11-ին Լավլեսը ձերբակալվել էր իր տիկնոջը՝ Ագնեսին, սպանելու համար: Եւ կրկին նրան հաջողվել էր փախնել: Ենթադրվում է, որ նա մահացել է 1916 թվականի մայիսին՝ 46 տարեկան հասակում՝ փախուստից կարճ ժամանակ անց, սակայն գործն առայժմ չի բացահայտվել, քանի որ քննիչները չգիտեն՝ ով է սպանել եւ մասնատել նրան:
Ոստիկանները հայտնաբերել էին Լավրեսի գլխատված մարմինը Բուֆալո քարանձավում, Այդահո նահանգ, 1979 թվականին: Սակայն նրա գանգը դեռեւս չի հաջողվել հայտնաբերել:
