ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի ղեկավարն ԱՄՆ-ին կոչ է արել կատարել մշակութային օբյեկտների պաշտպանության իր պարտավորությունները
INTERNATIONAL NEWSՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի գործադիր տնօրեն Օդրե Ազուլեն ԱՄՆ-ին կոչ է արել կատարել մշակութային օբյեկտների պաշտպանության իր պարտավորությունները, որոնք ԱՄՆ-ը ստանձնել է որպես մշակութային արժեքների պաշտպանության մասին միջազգային կոնվենցիայի մասնակից, հաղորդում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
Ազուլեն նման հայտարարություն է արել իրանցի դեսպան Ահմադ Ջալալիի հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ:
ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի ղեկավարը հիշեցրել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ը վավերացրել է 2 կոնվենցիա 1954 եւ 1972 թվականներին, եւ դրանք վերաբերում են մշակութային արժեքների եւ համաշխարհային ժառանգության պաշտպանությանը:
Հունվարի 3-ին Պենտագոնը տեղեկացրել էր գործողության մասին, որի ընթացքում Բաղդադի օդանավակայանի մոտ սպանվել է Իսլամական հեղափոխության պահապանների կորպուսի (ԻՀՊԿ) «Կուդս» հատուկ ստորաբաժանման ղեկավար, գեներալ Ղասեմ Սոլեյմանին: ԱՄՆ վարչակազմի վարկածով՝ հատուկ գործողությունը պաշտպանիչ բնույթ է կրել, քանի որ ունեցել է Մերձավոր Արեւելքում ամերիկացի զինծառայողներին պաշտպանելու նպատակ:
Արտակարգ նիստի արդյունքներով Իրանի ազգային անվտանգության բարձրագույն խորհուրդը խոստացել է վրեժ լուծել: Խորհրդի հայտարարության մեջ նշվում է, որ «Ամերիկան պատասխանատվություն է կրում այդ հանցավոր արկածախնդրության հետեւանքների համար»: Իրանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Մոհամմադ Ջավադ Զարիֆը ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Անտոնիու Գուտերիշի հետ հեռախոսազրույցի ընթացքում հարձակումը ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից ահաբեկչության դրսեւորում է անվանել: Թեհրանը ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդին կոչ է արել «դատապարտել այդ հանցավոր գործողությունը», ինչպես նաեւ հայտարարել է ինքնապաշտպանության իր իրավունքի մասին:
