Այսօր Բուն Բարեկենդան է
SOCIETYԱյսօր՝ փետրվարի 23-ին, արդեն 7-րդ անգամ, Երևանում տեղի կունենա Բուն Բարեկենդանի շքերթ-տոնախմբությունը. այս մասին հայտնում է Արարատյան Հայրապետական Թեմի տեղեկատվական բաժինը: Նշվում է, որ երթը կմեկնարկի առաջնորդանիստ Ս. Սարգիս եկեղեցուց՝ ժամը 13.30-ին: ԱՀԹ-ի հաղորդագրության մեջ մասնավորապես ասվում է. «Մասնակիցները դիմակներով, երգուպարով, դհոլ-զուռնայով, հեքիաթի հերոսների ուղեկցությամբ, Մեսրոպ Մաշտոցի պողոտայի ամեն խաչմերուկում տոնական շուրջպար բռնելով, կքայլեն դեպի Ազատության հրապարակ:

Բուն Բարեկենդանը կրկին դառնում է սպասված ու մեծ տոն, որի ժամանակ մեծն ու փոքրը, հարսն ու սկեսուրը, ղեկավարն ու ենթական հավասարվում են, որտեղ կյանքի դիմակները դառնում են տոնական: Մեծ Պահքից առաջ ժամանակն է ուրախանալ, լիցքաթափվել և հայկական ջերմությամբ լիցքավորվել»: Բարեկենդանի տոնի մասին Բարեկենդան նշանակում է բարի կենդանություն: Մեծ պահքի բարեկենդանը կոչվում է Բուն Բարեկենդան, քանի որ նախորդում է ամենաերկար պահքին: Բարեկենդանը մարդու երջանկության հիշատակն է, որը դրախտում վայելում էին Ադամն ու Եվան:
Այն նաև դրախտային կյանքի օրինակն է, որտեղ մարդուն արտոնված էր ճաշակել բոլոր պտուղները, բացառությամբ բարու և չարի գիտության ծառի պտղից, որը պահքի խորհրդանիշն է: Բարեկենդանն առաքինությունների արտահայտություն է: Այդ օրը մարդիկ սգից անցնում են ուրախության, չարչարանքից` խաղաղության: Այս ընկալմամբ է, որ յուրաքանչյուր քրիստոնյա հոգու խոնարհումով, ապաշխարությամբ, պահքով և ողորմության հույսով սկսում է Մեծ պահքի ճանապարհը: Այն տևում է 48 օր՝ Բուն Բարեկենդանից մինչև Ս. Հարության՝ Զատիկի տոնը:
