Գյումրու քաղաքապետ Սամվել Բալասանյանը, որը և կազմակերպել էր Տեքստիլագործների թաղամասում 28-ամյա ընկերոջ կողմից ծեծելով սպանված 42-ամյա Մարինեի հուղարկավորությունն, այսօր «Շիրակ» գերեզմանատանը, պատասխանելով լրագրողների հարցերին․ ասաց․ «Գյումրին ավանդույթներ ունեցող, ավանդապաշտ քաղաք է, մանավանդ ընտանիքի հետ կապված։ Ճիշտն ասած, այս դեպքը ոնց որ թե հարիր չէ մեր քաղաքին: Ասենք Ավետիսյաններինը հասկանալի էր, ինչ-որ զինծառայող էր, կամ երկրորդ դեպքը՝ կապված մեր հավաքարարի սպանության հետ․․․Իսկ այս դեպքը ցնցեց քաղաքը, մենք պետք է բռնությունը դատապարտենք, և այսօր Ազգային ժողովում ընդունվում է օրենք, որով բռնությունը դատապարտվելու է, որևէ մեկն իրավունք չունի բռնություն իրականացնել։ Այս մասին հայտնում է Aravot.am-ը:

Տեսնելով մեր անցած ճանապարհը, մեր ընտանիքները՝ հասկանում ենք, որ այդ ավանդապաշտությունը հենց այն կարևոր գործոնն է, ամեն ինչ պետք է լինի հենց այդ սահմաններում և այդ սահմաններից պետք չէ դուրս գալ։ Որպես քաղաքապետ՝ դատապարտում եմ նման դեպքերը», -ասաց քաղաքապետը։

Հարցին՝ ըստ ձեզ հուղարկավորությանը ինչո՞ւ հարազատներից ոչ մեկը չկա, Սամվել Բալասանյանն ասաց․ «Ինձ համար նույնպես զարմանալի է, որովհետև բավական բարեկամներ ունեն, երևի ավանդապաշտության շրջանակներում, դեպքի հետ կապված ինչ-որ տեղ խուսափեցին մասնակցել։

Իհարկե, մենք հավուր պատշաճի արեցինք ինչ-որ պետք էր, ըստ ավանդույթի, որը մեր պարտականությունն էր։ Ճիշտն ասած, չեմ կարող այդ հարցին պատասխանել, թե ինչու չմասնակցեցին, երևի ավանդապաշտության համաձայն, որը շատ կարևոր է մեր Գյումրի քաղաքում»։
