Ծննդաբերության ժամանակ նորածինը մահացավ, և նրան տվեցին մոր գիրկը, որ հրաժեշտ տա իր փոքրիկին․ այն, ինչ տեղի ունեցավ հետո, դժվար է բառերով նկարագրել․․․
LIFEՔեյթ և Դեյվիդ Օգ ամուսիններն անչափ սիրում էին միմյանց, բայց լիակատար երջանկության համար նրանց երեխան էր պակասում։ Քեյթը երկար ժամանակ չէր հղիանում, և միայն հարսանիքից երեք տարի անց բժիշկն ուրախալի լուրը հայտնեց․ նրանք երկվորյակներ են ունենալու։
Ապագա ծնողների ուրախության չափ չկար։ Նրանք սկսեցին պատրաստվել փոքրիկների լույս աշխարհ գալուն։ Զարդարեցին մանկական սենյակը, մանեժ ու տեսակ-տեսակ խաղալիքներ գնեցին։
Սակայն հղիության վեցերորդ ամսում վաղահաս ծննդաբերությունն իսկական հարված էր նրանց համար։ Քեյթը բավական դժվարությամբ ծննդաբերեց։ Այդ օրն իսկական փորձություն դարձավ ինչպես երիտասարդ մոր, այնպես էլ երկվորյակների համար։
Քեյթը հիշում է, որ ծննդաբերությունից հետո իր մոտ եկան ամուսինն ու բժիշկը, ու վերջինս հարցրեց՝ ամուսինները անուն որոշե՞լ են որդու համար։ Նրանք պատասխանեցին, որ տղայի անունը Ջեյմի են դրել։ Այդ ժամանակ բժիշկը տխուր նայեց նրանց ու ասաց․ «Կներեք, բայց մենք կորցրինք Ջեյմիին․․․»։ Այդ լսելուն պես Դեյվիդն անմիջապես փլվեց անկողնու վրա։
Քեյթը խնդրեց իր գիրկը տալ նորածին մահացած որդուն՝ նրան հրաժեշտ տալու համար։ Տղան շատ սառն էր։ Մայրն ամուսնուն խնդրեց պառկել իրենց կողքին ու միասին սեփական մարմնով տաքացնել որդուն։ Նա փոքրիկի մարմինը դրեց կրծքին ու սկսեց պատմել՝ որքան երկար էին ինքն ու Դեյվիդը սպասում իրեն, և ինչքան հիանալի քույր ունի նա։ Նրանք փոքրիկին պատմեցին, որ տանն իրենց դիմավորելու են հորաքույրերն ու մորաքույրները, տատիկներն ու պապիկները։ Քեյթն ու Դեյվիդն այսպես խոսում էին նրա հետ ու լաց լինում․․․
Իսկ հետո, բոլորի համար անսպասելի, փոքրիկ Ջեյմին հանկարծ ներշնչեց, արտաշնչեց, հետո նորից ներշնչեց, բացեց աչքերն ու իր փոքրիկ՝ գրեթե հոր եղունգի չափ թաթիկով բռնեց Դեյվիդի մատը։
Ջեյմին ուշքի եկավ․․․ Բժիշկները չգիտեին՝ ինչ անել։ Նրանք ոչ մի բժշկական բացատրություն չգտան այդ հրաշքը հիմնավորելու համար։ Իսկ դա հենց ինքը հրաշքն էր։ Երկու տարի անց նրանց ընտանիքում դարձյալ երեխա ծնվեց։ Երկվորյակաները ևս մի եղբայր ունեցան։
Ինչ վերաբերում է Ջեյմիին, նա երջանիկ առողջ երեխա է դարձել ու ամեն օր հիացնում է իր ծնողներին։
