Երեկ՝ դեկտեմբերի 1-ին, դաժան դեպք է տեղի ունեցել Կոտայքի մարզում: Ժամը 14:40-ի սահմաններում ոստիկանության Հրազդանի բաժնում և «Հրազդան» բժշկական կենտրոնում ահազանգ է ստացվել, որ Հրազդան քաղաքի Միկրոշրջան թաղամասի 220 շենքի 4-րդ բնակարանում անօգնական տարեց ամուսիններ կան: Ինչպես Հրազդանից հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, օպերատիվորեն նշված հասցե են ժամանել Հրազդանի ոստիկաններն ու շտապ օգնության վերակարգը, ովքեր նշված հասցեից Հրազդանի հիվանդանոց են տեղափոխել բնակիչներ, 84-ամյա Աղավնի Հակոբյանին և 88-ամյա Ավետիս Հակոբյանին:
 
Ֆոտոլրագրողը հայտնում է, որ բժիշկները մեծ ջանքերի շնորհիվ կարողացել են անօգնական ամուսիններին նախ՝ տեղում առաջին օգնությունը ցուցաբերել, հետո՝ հիվանդանոցում՝ հավատարիմ մնալով Հիպոկրատի տված երդմանը: Գ. Շամշյանը հայտնում է, որ Աղավնի Հակոբյանը վնասվածքները ստացել է մարմնի տարբեր մասերում, առավելապես՝ դեմքի շրջանի ջնջխված վերքեր, կապտուկներ, սալջարդ, իսկ հայրը՝ դեմքի շրջանում սալջարդ և կապտուկներ:
 
Հարևանները ֆոտոլրագրողի հետ զրույցում ասում էին, որ եթե բժիշկներն ու ոստիկանները մի քիչ ուշանային, հնարավոր է՝ տարեց ամուսինները մահանային, քանի որ գտնվում էին անօգնական ու վատ վիճակում, իսկ նրանց որդին՝ նույն հասցեի բնակիչ, 53-ամյա Հայկազ Հակոբյանը, ով կասկածվում է ծնողներին դաժան ծեծի ենթարկելու մեջ, հրաժարվում էր ծնողներին տեղափոխել հիվանդանոց: Հարևաններն ասում էին նաև, որ որդին գտնվում էր ոչ սթափ վիճակում, ում Հրազդանի ոստիկանները տեղափոխեցին Հրազդանի բաժին: Արդեն հիվանդանոցում մայրը ոստիկաններին հայտնել է, որ իրեն և ամուսնուն, ով, ի դեպ, անկողնային հիվանդ է, ծեծի է ենթարկել որդին՝ Հայկազը: Վերջինս էլ հարևանների մոտ հայտարարել է, թե հայրն է իր մորը ծեծել: Փաստի առթիվ ոստիկանության Հրազդանի բաժնի հետաքննչական բաժանմունքում նյութեր են նախապատրաստվում:
 
Նշանակվել են մի շարք փորձաքննություններ, այդ թվում՝ դատաբժշկական: Այս պահին Հրազդանի ոստիկանության համայնքային ոստիկանության բաժանմունքի պրոֆիլակտիկայի ավագ տեսուչ Արամ Գևորգյանն ու հերթապահ մասի վարորդ-ոստիկան Կարեն Պողոսյանը ծնողներին ծեծի ենթարկած, կասկածյալ Հայկազ Հակոբյանին տեղափոխեցին բժշկական կենտրոն՝ պարզելու սթափության աստիճանը:
 
Ծանուցում. Ենթադրյալ հանցանքի մեջ կասկածվողը կամ մեղադրվողը համարվում է անմեղ, քանի դեռ նրա մեղավորությունն ապացուցված չէ ՀՀ քրեական դատավարության օրենսգրքով սահմանված կարգով` դատարանի` օրինական ուժի մեջ մտած դատավճռով:
