Վերջին շրջանում, այսպես կոչված, մոդա է դարձել ազատամարտիկի անվան տակ համացանցում ու տեսախցիկների առջև հերոսանալն ու դիվիդենտներ շահելը: Փորձեք Google որոնողական համակարգով փնտրել տեղեկություններ ազատամարտիկ Յուրի Անտոյանի մասին՝ ոչ մի խոսք նրա մարտական ուղու, փառավոր անցյալի ու սխրանքների մասին:
Բայց այ, մեր լրատվականներից մեկի թեթև ձեռքով այս քաջազունը ոչ միայն հռչակվեց ազատամարտիկ, այլև այդ վսեմ կոչման բարձրությունից որոշեց տարփողել Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի հասցեին՝ թե մեկ օր էր մնացել, որ հաղթեինք, Ծառուկյանը լքեց մեզ: Մի կողմ թողնենք այն հարցը, թե պայքարի ո՞ր ֆրոնտում էր այս անհայտ, աննշմար ազատամարտիկ կոչեցյալը, որ իրեն այդպիսի հայտարարություն անելու իրավունքներ է վերապահում, և անդրադառնանք այն հարցին, թե ինչպես հարյուրավոր իրական ու կեղծ ազատամարտիկներ տարիներ շարունակ օգտվեցին Ծառուկյանի առատաձեռնությունից, ստացան հսկայական գումարներ և այժմ իրենց թույլ են տալիս նման ծիծաղելի հայտարարություններ անել:
Ի վերջո, ի տարբերություն իր երբեմնի դաշնակիցներ Լևոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանի ու Րաֆֆի Հովհաննիսյանի՝ Ծառուկյանը որևէ ամբիցիա չուներ. ինչ ամբիցիաներ պետք է ունենար տարբեր երկրների նախագահների հետ ընկերություն անող, բազմաթիվ երկրներում խոշոր ներդրող ընկալվող, փառքի ու հարստության գագաթին գտնվող անձնավորությունը: Պարզապես ինչպես բոլոր հայկական բարի ու չար հեքիաթներում ու պատմություններում՝ Ծառուկյանը վերջին պահին «քցվեց» իր դաշնակիցների կողմից, ովքեր ցանկանում էին Ծառուկյանին վերջին պահին «քցելով» գալ իշխանության, և ճիշտ ժամանակին հեռացավ՝ չդառնալով քավության նոխազ:
Սակայն, ի տարբերություն երբեմնի դաշնակից Տեր-Պետրոսյանի, ով չի բարեհաճում անգամ առանձնատնից դուրս գալ և ժողովրդի հետ շփվում է բացառապես հոդվածների միջոցով, և Հովհաննիսյանի, ով իր մարազմատիկ վարքագծով դարձել է ծաղր ու ծանակի առարկա, Ծառուկյանը շարունակում է լայն թափով բարեգործական ծրագրեր իրականացնել և օգտակար լինել իր ժողովրդին՝ անկախ նրանից, թե ազատամարտիկի դիմակ հագած չկայացած մարդիկ ինչեր կբարբաջեն իր հասցեին:
