SOCIETYՍոֆոսբուվիրը՝ հեպատիտ C-ի բուժման համար նախատեսված դեղամիջոցը, կարող է արդյունավետ լինել նաեւ կորոնավիրուսային վարակի դեմ: Հետազոտություններում այն հաջողությամբ օգտագործվել է ուղեղի բջիջները կորոնավիրուսից պաշտպանելու համար, հայտնում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
