NEWS.am-ի հարցին, թե ինչպե ՞ս է մեկնաբանում ՀՀ երրորդ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը երեկ լրատվամիջոցներից մեկում Արցախի նախագահ Արայիկ Հարությունյանի արած այն հայտարարությունը, ըստ որի` 2016-ին Ստեփանակերտի երկինքն անպաշտպան էր, իսկ այժմ ամբողջ Արցախը պաշտպանված է, Սերժ Սարգսյանը պատասխանել է. «Եթե բանակում այսօր ինչ-որ բան բարելավվել է, ինչ-որ բան ավելի լավ է, քան երեկ էր, ես միայն ուրախ եմ և երբեք ու երբեք ցեխ չեմ շպրտի հայոց բանակի վրա, կասկածի տակ չեմ դնի նրա պաշտպանունակությունը, ինչպիսին էլ լինեն օրվա քաղաքական իշխանությունների ցանկությունները կամ քմահաճույքները:

Որովհետև ով գոնե մի փոքր պատկերացում ունի բանակաշինության մասին, պետք է, որ հասկանա` ինչ ասել է տարեցտարի բանակի պաշտպանունակության մակարդակը բարձրացնելը, սպառազինությունն արդիականացնելը, բանակը հզորացնելը, որովհետև միայն զրոյական վիճակից, այն էլ` պատերազմի ժամանակ քարը քարի վրա դրած, ծանրագույն պայմաններում զորահավաք կազմակերպած, կամավորական ջոկատներից կանոնավոր բանակային ստորաբաժանումներ հիմնած, հակառակորդի դեմ գոյապայքարի ծանրագույն ժամանակաշրջանում բանակի սպառազինության, հագուստի, սննդի ու վառելիքի հարցերը լուծած մարդիկ կհասկանան ասածս, որոնց աչքի առաջ է ծնվել և կայացել բանակը:

Շուրջ երեսուն տարի մենք ազգովի հպարտացել ենք հայոց բանակով, իրավացիորեն համարել տարածաշրջանում ամենամարտունակը, որը մեր Հայրենիքն ու մեր ժողովրդին պաշտպանելու սրբազան գործը մշտապես պատվով ու պատասխանատվությամբ է կատարել: Եվ այս երեք տասնամյակների ընթացքում գոնե ես և այդ ճանապարհն անցած իմ շատ ընկերներ գայթակղություն չենք ունեցել բանակաշինության նախորդ ժամանակաշրջանը համեմատել մեր արած բարելավումների հետ, հրապարակավ, այդ թվում` ի լուր հակառակորդի հայտարարել, թե ինչ չկար նախկինում, որտեղ էր խոցելի մեր պաշտպանությունը, որպեսզի ցույց տանք, թե մենք ինչ ենք արել:

Բանակում շարունակական բարելավումները ցույց տալու բազմաթիվ այլ ձևեր քան: Ի վերջո, մենք առավոտից երեկո չենք տարփողում, որ ներկայումս զենքի մատակարարումների մի զգալի մասը նախորդ տարիներին ձեռքբերված պայմանավորվածությունների և կնքված պայմանագրերի հիման վրա է իրականացվում: Մի՞ թե դա է կարևորը: Ապրիլյան պատերազմից հետո անցել է չորս տարի, և բնական է, որ տարեցտարի մեր պաշտպանունակությունն ավելի պետք է ամրապնդվեր:

Սրանով միայն պետք է ուրախանալ, ինչպես պետք է ուրախանալ և հպարտանալ ապրիլյան պատերազմում մեր բանակի աներկբա հաղթանակով, և անթույլատրելի են պաշտպանության հարցում նման հայտարարությունները` ընդամենն ընդգծելու համար արվածը: Սահմանից այնկողմ մեր հակառակորդը պետք է մշտապես համոզված լինի, որ երբեք հայոց բանակի նկատմամբ որևէ առավելություն, քան թվաքանակը, չի ունեցել և չունի, եթե չասեմ` հակառակը: Ապրիլյան քառօրյայի մասին ես խոստացել եմ հանգամանորեն խոսել արտակարգ դրության ավարտից հետո հրավիրելիք մամուլի ասուլիսում, խորհրդարանում քննիչ հանձնաժողով էր ստեղծվել, որն արդեն ավարտել է աշխատանքը և պատրաստվում է առաջիկայում հրապարակել իր եզրակացությունը, ուրեմն, ինչի համար են այսօր նման անտեղյակ հայտարարություններ արվում:
