«168 ժամ» թերթը գրում է. «Արդեն 4-րդ օրն է՝ Ազատության հրապարակում ընթանում է «Նոր Հայաստան» փրկության ճակատի շուրջօրյա հանրահավաքը: Ինչո՞ւ այնուամենայնիվ, հանրության մեծամասնության դժգոհության, ընդդիմադիր տրամադրությունների գերակայության պայմաններում ընդդիմության չի հաջողվում կրիտիկական զանգված փողոց դուրս բերել: Այս հարցի առաջին պատասխանն այն է, որ ընդդիմադիր ուժերը գրեթե ամբողջությամբ կորցրել են հանրային վստահությունը:
Սակայն բացի այս՝ գուցե ամենաառանցքային պատճառից, գոնե քաղաքական առումով կա եւս մեկ պատճառ: Դա այն օրակարգն է, որն ընդդիմությունը ներկայացնում է որպես իշխանության դեմ պայքարի օրակարգ: Կոռուպցիա, անօրինականություններ, թալան, անպատժելիություն... Բայց խնդիրների այս շարքում բացակայում է ամենակարեւորը, որը պայմանավորում է մնացած բոլոր խնդիրները: Խոսքն արտաքին քաղաքականության, Հայաստանի արտաքին կողմնորոշման մասին է, որը՝ որպես օրակարգային թեմա, ընդդիմության գրեթե տաբու է: Անցած երեք օրերի ընթացքում հանրահավաքների ժամանակ հնչած տասնյակ ելույթների թվում միայն ԱԻՄ առաջնորդ Պարույր Հայրիկյանն անդրադարձավ Հայաստանի՝ ԵՏՄ անդամակցությանը, դրա անթույլատրելիությանը: Մնացած ուժերն ու առաջնորդները ոչ միայն չեն խոսում այդ մասին, այլ նրանցից ոմանք ԵՏՄ-ի անխոնջ կողմնակիցներ են:
«Նոր Հայաստանի» խորհրդի անդամ Հմայակ Հովհաննիսյանը նույնիսկ տխրահռչակ «Գրիբոյեդով» ակումբի անդամ է: Իսկ «Ոչ»-ի շտաբը, ընդհանրապես Ռուսաստանին Հայաստանի վասալացման ջատագովներից է:
Ներկայիս հանրահավաքային կամ փողոցային ընդդիմության մեծամասնությունն արտաքին քաղաքական հարցերում ոչ միայն ընդդիմադիր չէ իշխանությանը, այլեւ իշխանությունից առաջ է անցել Հայաստանի ռուսիֆիկացման հարցում: Իրականում նրանք հրապարակ են դուրս գալիս ոչ թե հասարակությանն իրենց գաղափարներին ծանոթացնելու, այլ Ռուսաստանին իրենց մասին հիշեցնելու համար: Բայց դա հազիվ թե որեւէ արդյունք տա, այսօր ոչ միայն Ռուսաստանի «գլուխն է խառը», այլեւս Հայաստանի իշխանությունը որեւէ հարցում իրեն այնպես չի պահում, որ Ռուսաստանում անգամ մտածեն այդ իշխանությունը փոխելու մասին»:
