POLITICS«Լուսավոր Հայաստան» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Էդմոն Մարուքյանն իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրել է․
«Սիրելի՛ քաղաքացիներ,
Տեղեկացնում եմ, որ դիմել եմ ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի անդամներին՝ 2021 թվականի արտաքին օգնության տրամադրման վերաբերյալ հարցով (FY2021 Foreign Aid Bills)։
Մասնավորապես, կարևորելով Արցախում "HALO Trust"-ի միջոցով այս տարիների ընթացքում իրականացվող ականզերծման աշխատանքների շարունակականությունը՝ իմ կողմից շեշտադրվել է այդ աշխատանքների նշանակությունը հակամարտության գոտում քաղաքացիական անձանց կյանքերը փրկելու առումով։
Այս աշխատանքները երաշխավորում են տասնյակ հազարավոր անձանց անվտանգությունն Արցախում։ Մասնավորապես, սկսած 2000 թվականից Արցախում ականազերծվել է մոտավորապես 500 ականապատ տարածք։
Այս աշխատանքները նաև տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության վերահաստատման առումով մեծ նշանակություն ունեն։
Հայ-ամերիկյան բարեկամությունն ապացուցել է իր ուժը՝ Մարդու իրավունքներն ու ժողովրդավարությունը պաշտպանելու, խաղաղությունն ու անվտանգությունը երաշխավորելու հարցում։
Ինչպես ասում էր Վիլյամ Ֆուլբրայթը, ուժեղ օրենսդրի ամենամեծ արժանիքն այն չէ, թե նա ինչ կարող է անել, այլ այն, թե նա ինչը կարող է կանխել»։
