SOCIETYՆ.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ Արամ Ա կաթողիկոսն անդրադարձել է Թուրքիայում Ստամբուլի Սուրբ Սոֆիայի տաճարը մզկիթի վերածելու որոշմանը:
Կաթողիկոսն իր ֆեյսբուքյան պաշտոնական էջում հրապարակել է «Արժեքներ ոտնահարելու և միջազգային սկզբունքներն անտեսելու Թուրքիայի վարքագիծը շարունակվում է» վերտառությամբ հայտարարությունը, որում նշվում է.
«Քիչ առաջ համացանցով իմացանք, թե թուրքական դատարանը որոշել է Կոստանդնուպոլսի հունաց Այա Սոֆիա պատմական Մայր Տաճարը մզկիթի վերածել:
Արդարև, 537 թվականին կառուցված այս տաճարը բյուզանդական ճարտարապետական արվեստի գագաթն է համարվում: Բյուզանդական կայսրության անկմամբ և Օսմանյան կայսրության կողմից գրավմամբ 1453-ին տաճարը վերածվել էր մզկիթի և ապա, 1935-ին՝ թանգարանի:
Անցնող օրերին, եկեղեցիների պետերը և ընդհանրապես միջազգային շրջանակները կոչ արեցին Թուրքիային չդիմել Այա Սոֆիան վերստին մզկիթի վերածելու քայլին և պահել նրա ներկայիս կարգավիճակը: Հայ և օտար մամուլի ներկայացուցիչներն ուզեցին Մեր տեսակետն իմանալ այս մասին: Մենք չուզեցինք կարծիք հայտնել՝ կանխատեսելով թուրքական դատարանի ընդունելիք որոշման բնույթը:
Կուզենք հետևյալ ընդգծումներն անել.
Առաջին, Թուրքիան իր նախագահի ներկա նախաձեռնությամբ հոգևոր և մշակութային արժեքներ ոտնահարելու, միջազգային օրենքով ճշտված սկզբունքներ անտեսելու և պատմությունը նենգափոխելու իր վարքագիծը փաստորեն շարունակում է:
Երկրորդ, թողնելով ներկայի և ապագայի իր ներքին և արտաքին շահերը, ինչպես նաև աշխարհաքաղաքական նպատակները, Թուրքիան նույնիսկ անտեսում է իր հին և նոր բարեկամների թելադրանքները:
Երրորդ, Թուրքիան իր այս որոշմամբ գիտակցաբար հարվածում է քրիստոնյա-իսլամ փոխադարձ հարգանքի և վստահության վրա հիմնված համակեցությանը՝ տեղական, շրջանային և միջազգային մակարդակներում, հակառակ այս գծով կատարված զգուշացումների:
Չորրորդ, Թուրքիան իր ներկայիս քայլով գալիս է ևս մեկ անգամ հաստատելու, Արևմուտքին և քրիստոնյա համայնքներին բացահայտելու իր ցույց տված նշանների կեղծ լինելը:
Հինգերորդ, ո՞ւր էին արևմտյան աշխարհի ղեկավարները, քաղաքական թե հոգևոր, երբ հայոց ցեղասպանությունից հետո հայ ժողովրդին պատկանող հազարավոր եկեղեցիներ ախոռների, սրճարանների, մզկիթների և այլ հանրային վայրերի վերածվեցին…:
Այո՛, ցեղասպանությունն այլապես շարունակվում է նույն ցեղասպանի կողմից, աշխարհի լռության դիմաց: Օսմանյան կայսրության այլամերժ գաղափարախոսությունը այլապես թափանցում է ամեն տեղ՝ արաբական աշխարհից սկսած մինչև արմտյան երկրներ, աշխարհի լռության դիմաց:
