Անփոխարինելի օգնականը՝ «հեղուկ սրբագրիչ»
ՀԱՆՐԱՀԱՅՏ ՄՈԼՈՐՈՒԹՅՈՒՆՆԵՐԴժվար թե հնարավոր լինի պատկերացնել որևէ ժամանակակից գրասենյակ, որտեղ չկա կորեկցիոն (ուղղիչ, շտկող) հեղուկ:
Այն հաճախ կոչվում է «սվաղ» կամ «կորեկտոր» («սրբագրիչ»): Ներկայումս մարդիկ այնքան են սովորել այդ «օգնականին», որ առանց դրա չեն կարող աշխատել:
Իսկ ե՞րբ և ինչպե՞ս է հորինվել այդ հրաշք ու անհրաժեշտ միջոցը: Կորեկցիոն միջոցի գաղափարը ինքնին պատկանում է նկարչուհի Բետտ Քլեր Մակմյուրեյին: Ամուսնանալով տասնութ տարեկան հասակում՝ Բետտը երեխա է ունեցել, բայց շուտով դարձել է միայնակ մայր, քանի որ ընտանեկան կյանքը չի ստացվել:
Մնալով մենակ՝ նա ստիպված սկսել է մտածել, թե ինչպես գումար աշխատել: Քանի որ նրա գեղարվեստական գործունեությունը կայուն եկամուտ չի բերել, Բետտը ընդունվել և սովորել է քարտուղար տպագրիչների դասընթացներում:
Դալլասում նրան ընդունել են աշխատանքի «Texas Bank & Trust» ընկերությունում: Աղջիկը ստիպված է եղել աշխատել իր համար անսովոր էլեկտրական գրամեքենայով, որն այդ ժամանակ նորույթ էր, ինչի պատճառով էլ նա շատ սխալներ էր անում գրությունների մեջ: Ելնելով առաջացած իրավիճակից՝ Բեթթը որոշում է գործել այնպես, ինչպես անում են արվեստագետները, այսինքն՝ սխալները վերանկարել:
Սխալներով գրված տեքստերը բազմիցս կրկնօրինակելու փոխարեն Բեթթին սկսել է սվաղել սխալ գրված տառերը սպիտակ ներկով, ապա գրել ճիշտը: Շատ արագորեն հնարագետ աղջիկը հասկացել է, որ իր գյուտը բավականին պահանջարկ ունի և կարող է լավ օգուտ բերել:
Բեթթը, նոսրացնելով սպիտակ ներկը, այն լցրել է մանիկյուրի տարողությունների մեջ: Գյուտը անվանվել է «Հեղուկ թուղթ» (անգլերեն «Liquid Paper»): Ժամանակի ընթացքում հիմնադրվել է նույնանուն ընկերություն, որը շուտով սկսել է տարեկան արտադրել մոտ մեկ միլիոն սրվակ կորեկցիոն հեղուկ: Գործը այնքան հաջող է եղել, որ 4 տարի անց այդ արտադրանքի արտադրության գործարաններ են հայտնվել նաև Կանադայում և Բելգիայում:
Անցյալ դարի յոթանասունականների վերջին Բետտին 47 միլիոն դոլարով վաճառել է իր ընկերությունը «Gillette» ընկերությանը: Կորեկցիոն հեղուկի մեջ, որպես կանոն, լինում է ցածր մոլեկուլ յար պոլիվինիլքլորիդ, որը լուծված է տրիքլորէթիլենի հետ, որին ավելացված է լիտոպոն (բարիումի սուլֆատ) կամ տիտանի օքսիդ:
