LIFEԱրդեն մի քանի տարի է, ինչ լուրեր են շրջանառվում այն մասին, որ Կիրիլ Պատրիարքը նույն ինքը Յապոնչիկն է։ Որոշ մարդիկ հաստատում են այդ վարկածը` առաջ քաշելով մի շարք փաստեր:

1․ Ծննդյան տարեթիվ․ Կիրիլ (1946), Վյաչիսլավ (1940)
Ըստ որոշ աղբյուրների նրանց տարիքային տարբերությունը 6 տարի է, որը սակայն ներկայացվում է որպես շեղող փաստ։
2․Վյաչիսլավի սպանության տարեթիվը և Կիրլ Պատրիարքի ձեռնադրման տարեթիվը (2009)
2009 թվականին կյանքից հեռացավ Վյաչիսլավ Յապոնչիկը և հենց այդ տարեթվին ձեռնադրվեց Կիրիլ Պատրիարքը։
3․ Ոչ ոք չի տեսել Վյաչիսլավ Յապոնչիկի մարմինը մահափորձից հետո։
Մի քանի ամիս կոմայի մեջ մնալուց հետո, նա մահացավ հիվանդանոցում։
4․Կրոնական հայցքներ, վարվելակերպ, բնավորություն ու խոսք։
