Օգոստոսի 19-ին Թուրքիայի Անթալիա նահանգի հյուրանոցներից մեկում ընթրիքի ժամանակ սպանվել է ադրբեջանական մաֆիայի ղեկավարներից Նադիր Սալիֆովը, որը հայտնի է «Լոթու Գուլի» կեղծանվամբ:

«Լոթու Գուլին» գլխի շրջանում հրազենային վիրավորում էր ստացել։ Նրան հոսպիտալացրել էին, սակայն կյանքը չէր հաջողվել փրկել: Սալիֆովի վրա կրակել էր քրեական աշխարհի մեկ այլ ներկայացուցիչ, ազգությամբ ադրբեջանցի, որը հայտնի է «Խան» կեղծանունով։

Թուրքական լրատվամիջոցներն որոշ մանրամասներ են հրապարակել «օրենքով գող» Սալիֆովի սպանությանը նախորդող իրադարձություններից:

Ըստ այդմ` մինչ այս քրեական հեղինակության դեմ 2 մահափորձ էր կազմակերպվել: 2017 թվականի աշնանը Ստամբուլում գանգստերների խումբ էր ձերբակալվել, որոնց թվում է եղել «Ուրվական» կեղծանվամբ հայտնի Ռովշան Ջանիևի (սպանվել է Ստամբուլում 2016 թվականին) եղբայրը՝ Նամիկ Ջանիևը։ Նրանց ձերբակալել էին այն պահին, երբ նրանք պատրաստվում էին զենքով ներխուժել Գուլիի առանձնատներից մեկը և սպանել այնտեղ բոլորին՝ ներառյալ հենց Սալիֆովին։ Այս օպերացիայի գաղափարական ոգեշնչողն ու ֆինանսական հովանավորը Ռովշանի բարեկամ Զաուրն էր, որը փաստացի ղեկավարում է մահացած «օրենքով գողի» գործերը։ Գուլիից ուզում էին վրեժ լուծել, քանի որ կարծում էին, որ նա կապ ունի Ռովշան Ջանիևի սպանության հետ։

Հաջորդ մահափորձը տեղի էր ունեցել Ստամբուլի առևտրային կենտրոններից մեկում: Սակայն թուրք հատուկջոկատայիններին հաջողվել էր կանխել մահափորձը և ձերբակալել 13 հոգու, այդ թվում` 2 ադրբեջանցու: Սալիֆովի սպանության համար առաջարկվել էր 5 մլն դոլար:
