Ավստրալիայի Սիդնեյ քաղաքում չորեքշաբթի գրանցվել է վերջին երկու տարվա ընթացքում ամենացուրտ առավոտը, երբ ջերմաստիճանը որոշ շրջաններում հասել է մինչև -1 աստիճան՝ ըստ Ցելսիուսի, գրում է Daily Mail-ը։

Ավստրալական ամենախոշոր քաղաքի հարավ-արևմուտքում՝ Քամդենում և Քեմփբելթաունում, գրանցվել է ամենացածր ջերմաստիճանը՝  մինչև -1 աստիճան՝ ըստ Ցելսիուսի, իսկ մյուս շրջաններում՝ մինչև 6 աստիճան։

Օդերևութաբան Գաբրիել Վուդհաուսը նշել է, որ սառը ջերմաստիճանը պայմանավորված է պարզ երկնքով և չորությամբ։ Եվ թեև առջևում դեռ մի քանի ցուրտ օր է սպասվում Սիդնեյի բնակիչներին, օդերևութաբանը հույս է հայտնել, որ հանգստյան օրերին քաղաք տաք հոսանքներ կներթափանցեն։

«Հանգստյան օրերին համեմատաբար տաք կլինի, բայց, կարծես, երկուշաբթի կրկին ցուրտ եղանակ է սպասվում»,- հայտնել է նա։

Ավելի վաղ հաղորդվել էր, որ Ավստրալիայում եղանակային անոմալիաներ են գրանցվում․ մինչ արևելյան ափին մարդիկ ստիպված են դիմագրավել սաստիկ քամիներին ու ցուրտ ջերմաստիճանին, Արևմտյան Ավստրալիայում հանգստյան օրերին գրանցվել է +40 աստիճան՝ ըստ Ցելսիուսի։

Պոռթկուն քամիներ և հորդառատ անձրևներ են գրանցվել երկրի հարավ-արևելքում, ինչպես նաև ձյան տեսքով տեղումներ՝ Նոր Հարավային Ուելս նահանգում։ Նոր Հարավային Ուելսի քաղաքները հանգստյան օրերին ձմեռային շունչ են ստացել։ Որոշ շրջաններում գրանցվել է -3-ից մինչև -5 աստիճան ցուրտ՝ ըստ Ցելսիուսի։
