Գարեգին Բ ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսը շնորհավորական ուղերձ է հղել Հայաստանի անկախության օրվա առթիվ:
Շնորհավորանքում ասվում է. «Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնից Հայրապետական Մեր սերն ու օրհնությունն ենք բերում բարեպաշտ մեր ժողովրդին ի հայրենիս եւ ի սփյուռս եւ շնորհավորում Անկախության տոնի բերկրալի առիթով։
Շուրջ երեք տասնամյակ առաջ մեր ժողովուրդը Տիրոջ օրհնությամբ կյանքի կոչեց անկախ պետականությունը վերահաստատելու իր դարավոր իղձը եւ հուսավառ սրտով նվիրվեց իր ազատ, նոր կյանքի կերտմանը։ Միշտ պարծանքով պիտի հիշվեն այս տարիներին համայն հայության միասնական զոհողություններն ու հանձնառությունները, որոնցով հայրենաշեն բազում ծրագրեր ու նախաձեռնություններ իրագործվեցին՝ վկայելով, որ մեր հավաքականությամբ ու միասնությամբ են մեր կյանքում արձանագրվում հաջողություններ ու հաղթանակներ։
Անկախության օրվա լուսավոր խորհուրդը հրավեր է ազգիս զավակներին վերարժեւորելու անցած դժվարին ուղին, մնալու հաստատուն՝ ազատ ապրելու եւ արարելու, մեր պետականությունը շենացնելու ձգտումի ու նվիրումի մեջ։
Այսօր, սիրելիներ, հակառակ բոլոր դժվարությունների, մեզ զորացնում են անկախության տարիների ձեռքբերումներն ու նվաճումները եւ հայրենիքի հանդեպ դրսեւորած սերը մեր ժողովրդի, որը սխրանք դարձավ մեր սահմաններում, նվիրում՝ կրթօջախներում, արգասավոր ջանքեր՝ արվեստի, գիտության բնագավառներում։ Հիրավի, ողջ հասարակության հանձնառությամբ ու նախանձախնդրությամբ է ամրանում պետականությունը, առաջադիմում յուրաքանչյուրի ջանք ու ավանդով։ Ամուր պահենք միաբան ու նվիրյալ մեր ընթացքը՝ քաջ գիտակցելով, որ «միաբանությունն է մայրը բարի գործերի» (Եղիշե)։
Աղոթք բարձրացնենք առ Բարերարն Աստված, որ խաղաղ ու ապահով պահի հայրենի մեր երկիրը եւ զորացյալ՝ մեր ժողովրդի սերն ու պատասխանատվությունը մեր պետականության հանդեպ, որպեսզի մեր հայրենիքը շենանա ու պայծառանա, եւ մեր զավակները սերնդեսերունդ շարունակեն արժեւորել Անկախության օրվա պանծալի խորհուրդը։
Թող մեր Տիրոջ՝ Հիսուս Քրիստոսի սերը, ողորմությունը եւ շնորհները լինեն մեզ հետ եւ բոլորի այսօր եւ միշտ. ամեն։
