Ռեժիսոր Մհեր Մկրտչյանն այս շրջանում զբաղված է իր նոր՝ «Իշխանություն» ֆիլմի նկարահանումներով, որի սցենարի հեղինակը հենց ինքն է: Ռեժիսորն առայժմ չի բացահայտում ֆիլմի բոլոր մանրամասները, բայց որոշ փակագծեր բացել է NEWS.am STYLE-ի հետ զրույցում:
«Այս ֆիլմը սիրո, դավաճանության, մարդ տեսակի եւ, իհարկե, իշխանության մասին է: Ավելին բացել փակագծերը, երեւի, սխալ է այս պահին: Հենց մեկնարկի ֆիլմի գովազդային փուլը, ինչ-որ չափով այդ փակագծերը կբացվեն ավելին»:
Ռեժիսորի խոսքով՝ ֆիլմն իր բնույթով քաղաքական դրամա է: Անդրադառնալով դերասանական կազմին՝ Մհեր Մկրտչյանը նշեց.
«Ֆիլմում նկարահանվել են Անի Ղազարյանը, Սերգեյ Շակուրովը, Սարգիս Գրիգորյանը, Ռոզի Ավետիսովան, Լեւս Դավթյանը, Ժաննա Վելիցյանը, Լուիզա Ղամբարյանը...Ֆիլմում կան կերպարներ, որոնք կան կյանքում, որոնք կան քաղաքականության մեջ»:
Խոսելով այն դերասանների մասին, որոնց հետ առաջին անգամ է աշխատել՝ նա հավելեց.
«Բացի Անի Ղազարյանից, Սերգեյ Շակուրովից եւ Լեւս Դավթյանից՝ մնացած բոլորի հետ առաջին անգամ եմ աշխատել: Գնահատականներ դեռ չեմ ուզում տալ: Ֆիլմի կամ դերասանի լավ կամ վատ լինելը ցույց կտա ապագան»:
«Իշխանություն» ֆիլմի նկարահանումները մեկնարկել են հուլիսից եւ մինչ օրս շարունակվում են: Ռեժիսորը նշեց՝ նկարահանումներ ունեցել են ինչպես Երեւանում, այնպես էլ՝ Օձունում ու Արցախում:
Մհեր Մկրտչյանը չժխտեց, որ պանդեմիայով պայմանավորված իրավիճակն ինչ-որ տեղ դժվարեցրել է նկարահանման աշխատանքները, նաեւ հավելեց,-«Մենք մաքսիմալ պահպանել ենք պարետի բոլոր պահանջները եւ ամենաուրախալին` երբ Արցախ մեկնելուց առաջ թեստ հանձնեցինք, բոլորս բացասական պատասխան ստացանք»:
Ռեժիսորը բծախնդրությամբ է վերաբերվում ոչ միայն իր ֆիլմերի սցենարին, երկխոսություններին ու դերասանական կազմին, այլեւ դրանցում հնչող երաժշտությանը, սակայն նա նշեց, որ առայժմ վաղ է խոսել նոր ֆիլմի սաունդթրեքի մասին.
«Կոմպոզիտորին կամ բառերի հեղինակին պետք է ցույց տաս ֆիլմը: Իսկ այն դեռ պատրաստ չէ»,-հավելեց նա՝ հույս հայտնելով, որ «Իշխանությունը» էկրաններին կհայտնվի այս տարի:
