«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է․ «Նախօրեին՝ ՀՀ անկախության 29 ամյակի առիթով կազմակերպված «Մեր ժամանակների հերոսը» մրցանակաբաշխության ժամանակ, բեմում մրցանակ է հանձնել նաեւ ԱԺ «Լուսավոր Հայաստան» խմբակցության նախկին պատգամավոր, նախկին սոցապնախարար Մանե Թանդիլյանը:

Ըստ մեր տեղեկությունների՝ թե՛ իշխանության ներկայացուցիչները, թե՛ լուսավորականները անակնկալի են եկել, երբ բեմ է բարձրացել Թանդիլյանը: Բանն այն է, որ գրեթե բոլորը տեղեկություններ ունեն, թե Թանդիլյանը առողջական խնդիրների պատճառով Ավստրալիայում է, բուժում է ստանում, ու հանկարծակիի են եկել, երբ տեսել են իշխանության կազմակերպած միջոցառմանը:

Հիշեցնենք, որ դեռեւս օգոստոսի 14-ին Ազգային ժողովի «Լուսավոր Հայաստան» խմբակցության ու համանուն կուսակցության անդամ Մանե Թանդիլյանը հայտարարեց, որ վայր է դնում պատգամավորական մանդատը, ինչպես նաեւ դադարեցնում է գործունեությունը՝ որպես կուսակցության կառավարման խորհրդի անդամ։ «Տեւական ժամանակ է` ունեմ առողջական խնդիրներ, որոնք այս ընթացքում փորձել եմ լուծել աշխատանքիս հետ զուգահեռ։ Սակայն պարզ դարձավ, որ դրանք այլեւս անհամատեղելի են պատգամավորական եւ ակտիվ քաղաքական գործունեության հետ»,-նշել էր պատգամավորը:

Դրանից հետո լուսավորականներն էլ ներքին քննարկումների ժամանակ հայտարարում էին, թե Թանդիլյանը գնացել է արտասահման բուժում ստանալու, բայց, կարծես թե, դա այդքան էլ իրական չէ: Մենք փորձեցինք զրուցել Մանե Թանդիլյանի հետ, սակայն ապարդյուն. նա սոցիալական ցանցերում ապակտիվացրել է իր էջերը ու չի արձագանքում մեր ո՛չ հեռախոսազանգերին, ո՛չ նամակներին»։
