Հռոմի պապ Ֆրանցիսկոսը կոչ է արել աշխարհի առաջնորդներին կորոնավիրուսի հետ կապված արտակարգ իրավիճակը որպես հնարավորություն օգտագործել` համաշխարհային տնտեսության անարդարությունն ու միջուկային զսպման դոկտրինի «ոլորված տրամաբանությունը» բարեփոխելու համար, հաղորդում է AP-ն:

Ելույթ ունենալով ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեայում` պոնտիֆիկոսը նշել է, որ աշխարհն ընտրության առջեւ  կկանգնի COVID-19-ի ճգնաժամից դուրս գալիս եւ այն լուրջ տնտեսական ազդեցությունը հաղթահարելիս, որը նա ունեցել է բնակչության առավել խոցելի շերտերի վրա: Վերջինս, նրա խոսքով, «միանշանակ վնաս կհասցնի ամբողջ համայնքին: Այն չպետք է գերակայի»: «Համավարակը մեզ ցույց տվեց, որ մենք չենք կարող ապրել առանց իրար, կամ, ինչն ավելի վատ է` դիմակայել իրար,- ասել է նա:- Ահա թե ինչու այս կրիտիկական պահին մեր պարտքն է վերանայել մեր ընդհանուր տան եւ մեր ընդհանուր ապագայի նախագիծը»:

Ֆրանցիսկոսը վերահաստատել է, որ Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցին դեմ է աբորտին, որը Վատիկանի եւ ՄԱԿ-ի միջեւ տարաձայնությունների հիմնական գաղափարական կետերից մեկն է: Նա ասել է, որ աբորտների քանակը համավարակի ընթացքում միայն աճել է, եւ ցավալի է, որ որոշ երկրներ առաջ են մղում աբորտը` որպես կարեւոր ծառայություն, որը պետք է մատուցվի նույնիսկ առողջապահության ոլորտում արտակարգ իրավիճակների ժամանակ:

Նա հիմնական բոլորի համար առողջապահական սպասարկման, ամենաաղքատ երկրների պարտքերի նվազեցման, եթե ոչ` ներման եւ Բրեթոն Վուդսի ֆինանսական ինստիտուտների բարեփոխման կոչ է արել, ինչը, նրա խոսքով, միայն սրում է անհավասարությունները հարուստների եւ աղքատների միջեւ:

«Այժմ ճիշտ ժամանակն է միջազգային ֆինանսների ճարտարապետությունը թարմացնելու համար»,- ասել է նա:
