2018 թվականի ընտրություններին ընդառաջ Հանրապետականի դեմ տարվող իր նենգ պայքարում Ալիևից օգնություն հայցելն ու ստանալը՝ դրա դիմաց զիջելով Վիեննան ու Սանկտ Պետերբուրգը, և ժողովրդի մեջքի հետևում Ադրբեջանի հետ Արցախի շուրջ իրականացված ստվերային գործարքները տեղ չեն թողնում կասկածելու, որ 2018 թվականի իշխանազավթումը պայմանավորված էր Արցախի հարցով: Այս մասին իր ֆեյսբուքյանն էջում գրել է ՀՀԿ փոխնախագահ Արմեն Աշոտյանը:

3. Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ամենաշատը վախենում էր նախ մեր ներկայությունից խորհրդարանում, իսկ հետո՝ մեր շարունակական և նպատակային պայքարից պառլամենտից դուրս, հատկապես՝ Արցախի հարցով:
Մենք, հանրապետականներս, դեռևս 2018 թվականի խորհրդարանական ընտրություններին հանդես եկանք կարգախոսով. Եթե մտահոգ ես Արցախի ապագայով, ընտրիր Հանրապետականին:
Սերժ Սարգսյանը այս երկու տարի իր բոլոր հանրային ուղերձներում, հրապարակային ելույթներում և աշխատանքային հանդիպումներում մշտապես կրկնել է մի անկյունաքարային ուղերձ. Արցախը երբեք չի լիենլու Ադրբեջանի կազմում:
Նա խոսել է այդ մասին Զագրեբում եվրոպական ամենախաշոր և ազդեցիկ քաղաքական ընտանիքի համագումարի հարթակից՝ եվրոպական քաղաքական վերնախավի ներկայությամբ:
Նա խոսել է այդ մասին ռուպորով իր դեմ հարուցված շինծու քրեական գործով դատական նիստի մեկնարկին իր հազարավոր աջակիցների ներկայությամբ:
Նա խոսել է այդ մասին ուղերձով՝ Արցախի Հանրապետության նորընտիր նախագահ Արայիկ Հարությունյանին ուղղված շնորհավարական խոսքում:
Այս կարևորագույն ուղերձն իշխանական տաբեր տրամաչափի քարոզիչները նպատակային փորձում էին խեղաթյուրել, անտեսել, երբեմն նաև՝ հեգնանքի տալ:
Այնինչ Սերժ Սարգսյանը և մենք ամենասկզբից կանխատեսում, կռահում, վերլուծում էինք Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի՝ Արցախի շուրջ ստվերային գործարքների գնալու լրջագույն հավանականությունը և բանակցային գործընթացում իր կողմից տարվող քաղաքականության կործանարար հետևանքները:
Եվ մինչև Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն այսօր երեկոյան երկրորդ փորձը կկատարի մանիպուլյացիոն կռուտիտներով սվաղելու իր դավաճանությունները, ականջներիդ օղ, կամ ձեզ համար ավելի նախընտրելի վայրում պիրսինգ արեք. Արցախը երբեք չի լինելու Ադրբեջանի կազմում»:
