ՀՀ քննչական կոմիտեի զինվորական քննչական գլխավոր վարչությունում հարուցվել է քրեական գործ՝ հակառակորդի կողմից ազգային, կրոնական ատելության և կրոնական մոլեռանդության շարժառիթով, շատերի կյանքի համար վտանգավոր եղանակով, ծառայողական պարտքը կատարելու հետ կապված ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարության և ԱՀ պաշտպանության բանակի երկու և ավելի զինծառայողների ապօրինաբար կյանքից զրկելու, գույքը դիտավորությամբ ոչնչացնելու, վնասելու դեպքերի առթիվ:

 2020թ. սեպտեմբերի 27-ին` ժամը 07:15-ի սահմաններում, Ադրբեջանի Հանրապետության զինված ուժերի հրամանատարությունը կազմակերպել և իր զինված ուժերի տարբեր ստորաբաժանումների ուժերով, շփման գծի ողջ երկայնքով, իրականացրել է լայնածավալ հարձակում՝ ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարության և Պաշտպանության բանակի զինված ուժերի մարտական հենակետերի և զորամասերի մշտական տեղակայման վայրերի ուղղությամբ: Նշված գործողությունների արդյունքում՝ տարբեր տրամաչափի զինատեսակներից, այդ թվում՝ ռազմական ավիացիայից, հարվածային անօդաչու թռչող սարքերից, զրահատեխնիկայից ու հրթիռա-հրետանային տարբեր միջոցներից արձակված կրակոցներից, սպանվել և վիրավորել են պաշտպանության բանակի զինծառայողներ, ինչպես նաև պայթյունի և հանրավտանգ այլ եղանակով դիտավորությամբ ոչնչացվել են մի շարք զորամասերի մշտական տեղակայման վայրերի, մարտական դիրքերի շինություններ, ռազմական գույք և սպառազինության այլ միջոցներ` պատճառելով առանձնապես խոշոր չափերի վնաս:

Դեպքերի առթիվ հարուցվել է քրեական գործ՝ ՀՀ քրեական օրենսգրքի 104-րդ հոդվածի 2-րդ մասի 1-ին, 2-րդ, 6-րդ, 7-րդ, 13-րդ կետերով և 185-րդ հոդվածի 3-րդ մասի 1-ին կետով նախատեսված հանցագործության հատկանիշներով: ՀՀ քննչական կոմիտեի զինվորական քննչական գլխավոր վարչության պետ Ա.Կրկյաշարյանի որոշմամբ՝ քրեական գործով նախաքննություն կատարելու համար ստեղծվել է քննչական խումբ, որի ղեկավար է նշանակվել զինվորական քննչական գլխավոր վարչության պետի տեղակալ Ա.Ասլանյանը, ում հանձնարարվել է քրեական գործն ընդունել վարույթ, տեղում կազմակերպել քննչական խմբի քննիչների աշխատանքը և ղեկավարել նրանց գործողությունները:
